When did it change?

Something has shifted over the last few years, and it’s hard to ignore.

I’ve never really felt like I worked for DXC — my focus has always been on doing right by the client and delivering a good outcome. But recently, it feels like we’re neither wanted, respected, nor trusted to do the job we’re here for. Work is withheld or second-guessed at every step, with everything needing detailed oversight. It’s draining, and it doesn’t exactly inspire anyone to go the extra mile.

That lack of trust is one thing, but when it’s paired with years of a 0% pay rise policy, it becomes even harder to stay motivated.

People often say financial reward is only part of a job — and that’s true. But right now, there’s very little else to balance it out. There’s no real sense of job satisfaction, no recognition when something is done well, and often not even a simple “thank you.” It increasingly feels like the expectation is that having a job should be enough in itself.

For me, that balance has tipped. What used to be tolerable — even enjoyable at times — has turned into something I genuinely dislike. The disconnect is such that it’s hard to care whether projects succeed or fail, especially when accountability can so easily be shifted elsewhere — to a missed detail, a PM oversight, or yet another broken process that makes delivery unnecessarily difficult.

It raises a bigger question: how sustainable is this? Because from where I’m sitting, it doesn’t feel like something that can continue for much longer, and I will be happy to see it collapse.

I'm gone soon

If I get laid off, great, gives me more of a safety net, but I'll be gone either way by mid-May. I'm looking forward to watching SAP sink. They have mistreated me enough it will be enjoyable to watch it crash and burn.

What's even the point?

Our group had an all-hands meeting recently where we spent 45 minutes witnessing managers patting themselves on the back and 5 minutes of dodging questions about backfilling roles, future layoffs or severance. So yeah, super useful and effective. I'm still trying to figure out what was the point.

got the AXE today from this cr-ppy company

Over 25 years with this company, and got my layoff in an email.............how great is that? Great place to work.....NOT..................we are all a number now..........remember this........profits over people............the private equity firm su-ks........

Find your next!

If you are thinking about leaving, leave! This MC is making a ton of bad decisions and the titanic known as Fiserv is taking on water. Find your lifeboat and get out. It is only a matter of time and I assure you, they do not value you or your knowledge. And at this stock price.... decision is a lot easier.

30+ years, lost $380k in RSUs, not even a thank you

Oracle used to be a great company to work for. They really cared about making work GOOD for people, at least in dev teams. They wanted you to be able to work well, so they did everything they could to help - on site dry cleaning, food in the break rooms, ATMs, cafeterias with hot food, and any hardware you wanted that would help you get work done. Need a new big computer - no problem, for ex. Then that stuff started whittling down - no more dry cleaning, worse snacks to no snacks, ATMs removed, fight for new computers, etc. Not big things, but they added up. The message was clear. Then AWS ex-employees showed up and then took over, and now everything is a struggle, people are afraid to be laid off, and there is so much reporting on progress that there is no time to actually MAKE progress. The problem is upper management. Quality work and products are no longer the goal. Now it's work fast and deliver ...anything. Work late into the night, and on weekends, and then write up reports on it. No raises. No stability. Tons of backstabbing. No cooperative work. Just a horrible place to work now. Lots of covering up failures and blaming other people. So sad, because it really used to be great. Just MHO. 30+ years. Got the highest evaluations. Was told I was one of the top few employees in the entire org. Great RSU grants. Then laid off with zero warning by anonymous email in the middle of the night, locked out of the entire building, access to resources cut off immediately. And NOT ONE THANK YOU, for 30 years. I was completely loyal to this company. Now that's all gone.

Got an email from our orgs President stating...

again, that it was a record breaking year last year and is so proud of all the hard work we put in to make that happen...

Meanwhile, managers are given a tiny amount of money for raises and bonus's to spread around to 20 people. Some of whom got nothing, while others got a crumb.

I know we all got an email saying the same stuff from JC and MD this year but then our orgs President has the ba--s to reiterate all of that, again?!

How exactly, is anyone supposed to give two flying FUggs about doing work, doing extra work, going above and beyond, taking on projects, etc... when it's not reflecting in our paychecks, pockets yet, the company did GREAT last year?

Then, we get minimal raises due to a "tight budget" and 90% bonus? And no, this was not just me. This was my ENTIRE team, which is quite small. Can't tell you what because it'd give me away but, we are on the other side of Dell corporate.

I don’t see this as a supportive or honest environment anymore

You can push yourself as hard as you want, but the expectations just keep changing and you’re still left feeling like you missed the mark. And it’s not isolated, it’s the same story across multiple departments. It's astounding how much this place has changed in the last several years.

How many VP's with their bloated wages are going?

After the worst day working for this company in over 10 years I want to know how many VP's are losing their jobs? I am a 'lucky' one and am staying as an FTE but I feel sick about what has happened today and the spineless way the VP's handled the meeting. The upper management should be ashamed at how they have mismanaged this company. A show of the worst aspects of capitalism was displayed today. Too spineless to make people directly redundant and give them a redundancy package they have earnt from years of services. Forcing them to another company which a quick search shows are morally repugnant and treats employees as disposable assets. How long will it take for the board to step in and make the needed changes at the top? The changes in employee numbers over the last 5 years is shocking. Senior managers; You have broken trust with your employees, you have broken our morale, how long do you think this company will survive when you treat people like this.

MSU Biz Ops “Kickoff”

What the heck was that?

A kickoff neatly three months into the year?

It’s hard to take a company seriously that preaches productivity when they waste a half-hour showing slides of updated organizational charts since the big layoff.

It was the same old tired, “more communication”, “career development”, and “employee recognition” promises that never happen. Oh wow, cheap junk from the Canon Spotlight catalog site, just what everyone wants! Career development = more time to watch cr-ppy courses on Canon Learning, seriously? The material on that site is absolute garbage. More communication = monthly mass town hall meetings that nobody understands what is being discussed.

Corporate monsters, demons and pigs

Over the course of the last year, I watched as my friends were blasted away. A feeling not unlike sitting in a trench, the sirens begin, foxholes are filled, and some unlucky chosen never make it back. While dramatic, this is the feeling I get with every announcement, email, and report.
Today, my friends were sold like property. Some spent their lives here, only to be told the work and time they put in is worthless, that they’re no longer with us. Offered up like it wasn’t their lives being affected. For what? So some disgusting rich pig can get fatter? So some greedy corporate demon can keep feasting on us?
I know this place is he-l, but I pray we aren’t so godless that justice goes unserved. Imagine sacrificing people just to pad your pockets.
I have nothing to say about what happened today, no news, nothing. My words are gone, and every day here is filled with apathy.

I'm tired all the time

We used to have a slower season, a time when you could catch your breath and actually think. That doesn't exist anymore. The pace is relentless now, and the workload has become the baseline. Everyone is exhausted, but pointing it out feels pointless because leadership seems to think this is just how it should be.

Human Resources

You’re either still here because you're new and have no idea you’re now on a 747 on its way into the ground, retiring soon-and praying you can last long enough to make it out, searching constantly for another employer, or just an id--t and think all the screaming, smoke, and flames around you is just special effects for the awesome music video starring you and all your greatness! In that case-thumbs up-you truly are the best of the best!

Coachella Valley Unified District Announces 80 Layoffs

Coachella Valley Unified School District plans to eliminate about 80 positions. More than a dozen teachers at Seaview Elementary School will be laid off. The district is addressing a growing fiscal crisis. The Coachella Valley Teachers Association shared news of these job cuts. The union warns of impacts on students and staff morale.

RTO = Pay Cut

Welp, there goes my raise. Gone before I even got one payment.

With tensions in the Middle East pushing oil prices up again, gas is likely heading higher. For those of us forced to commute five days a week, it’s money straight out of our pockets.

Do the math. A pretty normal commute is 25–50 miles each way, or 250–500 miles a week. In a typical car getting about 20 MPG, that’s roughly 13–25 gallons of gas every week just to show up and badge in.

If gas jumps from around $3 to $5 a gallon, that’s about $25–$50 more per week, or roughly $1,500–$3,000 per year in extra fuel alone.

And that’s before tolls, maintenance, wear on the car, or the second vehicle many families had to buy because five-day RTO made sharing impossible.

At the end of the day, five-day RTO isn’t just inconvenient. For a lot of people it’s effectively a pay cut for work we’ve already proven can be done from anywhere.

Big F-U to the “leadership”. I hate this place.

Worst company

Please keep looking do not work for this company as they do not care about you as a person or employee. They only care about the members who call in and speak to you like trash and doesn't really care about your mental health it's all about metrics, metrics, and metrics! This was a mistake working here! Not what I expected!

The hypocrisy is staggering

Management loves to brag about perks and post about balance, but ignore a late night message and suddenly you are the example in a meeting. The whole wellness message rings hollow when the expectations never switch off. You can see who gets protected and who does not, and it is not subtle. I would take blunt and direct over this polished version of pressure any day.

Insanity!

This place is insane! Every Monday... I can't sleep the night before and just dread this place. State Farm has absolutely no clue what it is doing. There is always a systems problem, always some update waiting to be downloaded messing up some application. Over the last 13 years the people they are hiring are just absolute trash, bottom of the barrel burger flippers. 2040 and DEI outcasts. The agent's are completely useless and cause so many issues you can barely do you job due to their meddling. Training is awful, traffic and cost of living is horrendous in the hubs and we get paid the same as fully remote workers but have thousands of dollars in additional expense. Now it's all about emotions and feelings and surveys asking you about things they never have any intention of changing. You need to better manage your health to adapt to all the stress they are going to cause and never offer anything to make the work environment better.
State Farm is like a bad dream you never wake up from and the madness never stops. Just constant organized chaos and it's hard to believe this company is even in business. I still can't believe they destroyed this once great company. This place continues to be a soul su-king sh-t hole. They are basically openly hostile to anyone that tells them their baby is ugly and keep doubling down on a completely failed business model. I wish they would offer some form of voluntary severance. Just stop the suffering. Pathetic really, JF and his minions are joke for an era and legacy that need to be removed like a cancerous growth and they just continue to stain and destroy everything they touch. Mo--ns, just absolute mo--ns!

God!! I am not even tolerating this anymore...

It's so disheartening to see what a pathetic state we are in, where are we going, what exactly do we want to do?
There are no leaders , there are no lead by example, everyone doing bare minimum thinking they are giving their best, no enthusiasm, no excitement, going to campus is so sad, staying at home is 9 hours of continuous meeting, no output, no value adds.. such a sad state of affair...
Arrrrrgggghhhhh!!!

WTS - No Presidents Club

ICYMI - In another attempt to drive the morale of the WTS sales employees into the ground, it has been rumored that the once prestige honor of making President’s Club is no longer an option. The service and hardware increases were not enough to drive comp down. Now they are taking it all back, very slowly.

However, other divisions like CSG now run by PK will celebrate their successful reps at Baha Mar in the Bahamas.

Apparently this was the decision of Mason Olds. Safe to say that he is making quite the impression on the WTS reps with a bold move like this.

Canon has truly turned their back on the reps of WTS.

I think I am done

It’s official. After over a decade committed fully to this company I think they have broken my morale irreparably.

Between being told in my performance review I went above and beyond and could not have done a single thing better but could not get an “exemplary” rating because too many were given, to layoffs and AI looming, and not being valued or appreciated at all, I’m going to start applying elsewhere. I miss the old Usbank. I loved this company, I loved my job, I thought I’d retire from here. They really just crushed me.

FISV—-> $230 —-> 57 —-> 40

Not far! Growth of 1.8% ? Why even wake up and go to work. Oh wait, I work for infinite. I work at home. Let’s continue to milk this dead company.

Loyalty is gone! I don’t give a cr-p, I just collect a check.

I feel sorry for those who wake up and go to work at Fiserv, or still hold the Fiserv stock in their M Lynch account or Fidelity account.

This is all because of Frank and his “leaders”
