The all hands on Monday were being nothing burgers. They did not say anything new. They sent an email with the changes then schedule an all hands over a week later to say the same thing? This is why VZ fails. Redundant and inefficient. Bet Friday’s call will be the same. It’s evident that things will not change. Dan the hatchet man is that, the hatchet man and will sadly pass it off to Scampath who will continue to tank the company. Leave while you can. VZ will not survive this 13k RIF. Culture, morale is dead there’s no coming back from losing trust in your people.


Tech post

Time for hundreds to go sit in a war room and pretend like it’s the 80’s and we don’t have laptops to support from home. Put on a smile, wear holiday sweatshirts and pretend to be honored when leaders show up or in the case of MD send a video of thanks from Seattle.
Everyone gather for a photo to be shared in the all hands and come to work sick next week from the shared germs. Happy Holidays


Executive Compensation During RIF

While the plan was being developed to layoff 15,000 people a retention bonus was extended to Sampath and the CFO Skiadas. Each received $4,000,000 in stock. Hans will collect close to $25,000,000 for 2025 and will continue to get paid as an advisory member of the board. Dan's salary is $1,500,000 with long term incentives that will mature to $60,000,000.

Let that sink in while you navigate your job search. For those that have expressed guilt because you still have a job and your peers were let go, ask these execs how they manage to sleep at night. They are making a windfall while others suffer. Sam can speak to this in the next all hands and explain how execs and the front line are treated equally.


FIS/GP/TSYS = Huge Dumpster Fire

As a TSYS Issuer TM I was very excited when I heard we were getting AWAY from GP and joining forces with a company I thought MAY know how to do us better. I figured it definitely couldn't get any worse than being treated like the ugly stepchild like GP has done us. With that being said I'm losing confidence daily and at this point just hope I have a job in this cr-ppy market. I'm sorry and I hate that you all have been going through all the same cr-p that we have (McKinsey) recently. Just to add a little icing on the cake your CEO and Chief People Officer joined our Issuer All Hands this morning and we're about as happy and excited as anyone could be. Hard to imagine they could be so happy at the exact same time their TM's were being fired via Google Meets. Really makes me feel warm and fuzzy about joining the team! Not an ounce of regret or remorse in either of their voices. 🤬


All hands call mentioned layoffs

At first they mentioned how we outperformed booking revenue and we hit all these expectations and more. Then they briefly mentioned layoffs and the just said they can’t say anything about it and just to put your head down and wait for the storm to end. Looks like it’s happening even when we are over performing in some segments.


Did CTO announce layoffs are coming in today's all hands meeting?

In today's all hands meeting, the CTO pretty much said Citi will follow the lines of Amazon and Meta and will be laying off people. He didn't say specific numbers and exactly when but the message to me sounds like there will be layoffs coming.


Uneasiness

Lots of uncertainly and nervousness after yesterday=Some nice recognition--finally !

We don't get many pats on our backs any more=just kikks in the aarse+The CEO is starting to lose the rank and file=Only 55% of company in attendance=We used to get 90% on these meetings=The sales guys seemed down and had low energy=Seemed like deers in headlights=Compassion & passion is gone+Thought process is always changing like flags flapping in wind=Meps, Peps, and fops, gops, mops, (huh?) wtf? are labor intensive, high maintain, low margin that we don't want anything to do with.


Rememeber Franco sent Joey "shorty" Plumeri around in 2015 to tell us all how stupid we were?

Is Joey available to go tell Frank he is a fraud and low life parasite? I remember Frank on the all hands calls in 2014-15 saying he was a real estate guy and did not know much about payments. That was probably the most honest thing I ever heard him say.

Also remember Franco used First Data money to buy thousands of copies of his side-kick Joey's lame book, and mailed it to employees. I read it, a complete waste of ink and paper, and used it as a door stop for awhile until a flood in the office made it moldy.

Anyways also heard it’s 20 to 30 percent reduction.

ALL VP+ summoned to Possible. Seriously?

Word on the street is that new CAO Scot Rogers summoned ALL VP+ roles from around the world to Possible LA this week. Everyone VP and above. Seriously? Why? Most of those people have zero to do with sales or customers. That's a TON of expense for a company that is underperforming at epic levels and laying off really good people every few months. Has anyone at the top even looked at the stock price recently? TD is being SO poorly managed. Why hasn't the Board fired Steve McMillan yet? He's clearly incapable of steering the ship around the giant iceberg directly in front of him.

Look at the counts of views on today's posts here. Over 13,000 alone in one of them. A large percentage of the employees come here for info now, where the company can't control it. Boycott his next town hall to show him how little you care about his BS speeches. He doesn't care about you. The company doesn't care about you. If they want a disengaged workforce, give them a disengaged workforce.


CES Town Hall 10/01?

We received an email today from our group leader to say that he ‘strongly’ advises us to attend the CES town hall next week. First time we’ve ever had an email like this so we immediately started getting our conspiracy thinking hats on to try and come up with an idea of what’s happening.
Maybe it’ll be more of the same or maybe a big announcement, who knows.
Anyone got any clues as to what it is?
