I feel bed for the younger generations
How do you settle down in this environment? How do you buy a house, have kids, make any kind of long term plan when your job could disappear next month? Endless layoffs mean endless uncertainty. And endless uncertainty means you can't build a life. Working at Dell offered a certain security for many of us that the new generations don't have.
No one knows
Seems all leaks have been sealed and no one has any insight into the future of their jobs or this pathetic company that profits off of human misery and disease/disease management. Interesting
BIG KAHUNA WAVE THIS WEEK
rumblings that major organization activity will commmence this week
Any news on cuts?
Or let me put it another way, any credible news on more cuts?
ECS
Anyone have any insight into ECS and layoffs? It’s been really weird with such little work available. Is AI being used covertly?
Anyone nervous about tomorrow?
Got a bad feeling that phase 2 of Dan”s Secret Plan (DSP) will be unveiled tomorrow. Really hoping it’s not as bad as phase 1
Dark clouds are gathering
Shortly before the FY2026 results will be announced on May 6th a global RA will hit all Northern European and north American teams. The scale of the RA will be unprecedented but is timed to address the disastrous financial results.
Fasten your seatbelts folks - this is the beginning of the end.

the volume of posts and replies on here rises like a tsunami
There has to be an end date
We can't go on like this forever. There has to be an end to layoffs. Are we supposed to stress over potentially losing our jobs for the rest of our working days?
3 days
Anyone else still just going to do the 3 days in and roll the dice and see what happens
When will cuts continue?
I'm hoping we're at least safe for the rest of the month.
Do we know when the next round will happen?
At least the month?
Layoff updates
Does anyone have any updates from all CECs? Are we just waiting ducks? Or did we assume to soon about this week’s layoffs??
I am so confused about this week and how it will go. It’s sad that a company has everyone thinking the worse with just small changes. Smh
Monarch Tractor Headquarters Closes, Most Staff Cut
Monarch Tractor, an agricultural tech startup, faces an uncertain future. The company recently laid off nearly all its remaining staff. Its Livermore, California headquarters has been vacated and equipment auctioned. Monarch Tractor developed the MK-V, an electric autonomous smart tractor. The company had raised over $200 million and was valued highly less than two years ago.

Gentex Layoffs
3 team members and 1 upper management got layoff last week in Gentex. The reason was unclear but some say its because of it might have something to do with Gentex losing 42% of its stock value in 2 years. With the Iran, US and Israel war & tariffs, the future seems pretty uncertain as the stock keeps dipping.
Quiet layoffs in a slow, steady stream?
That's torture. The stress never lets up. I'd take a few big and quick rounds over that any day.
What will next week bring?
I'm at the point where I'm dreading each Monday because I'm not sure what they'll drop on us. Will it be layoffs, loss in benefits, or whatever else they can think of to make our lives more miserable. God, I hate this place.
No chatter on cuts
Is that a good thing? Or the calm before the storm?
What are the chances you'll still be at Xerox in 2027?
If that happens to me personally, I'll consider myself a complete failure.
The only reason to go along with rebadging is to buy a little more time
I've been job hunting for months. Calling the market "slim pickings" is generous, and it's only going to get worse. We're heading toward a place where beggars can't be choosers. Anything, anywhere, for any amount of time, will have to do.
Gloomy outlook
I'm trying to stay positive, but it’s tough to picture things improving in any way without major changes. And I don't think we'll be seeing such changes any time soon, if ever.
Are we really having layoffs next week?
Or is it just speculation?
Is anyone outside of admin roles being affected?
Please share any updates.
Just fu--ing pull the trigger already
It's been over a month since we were told there would be GT layoffs. How much longer do we need to complete this "rationalization"? Fu-k the spring holidays, just pull the ripcord and send the emails already.
Layoff total
Does anyone know the extent of layoffs that happened in the last few days? Was there any layoffs today also?
Different people are reporting differently. I’d appreciate if anyone has analyzed this and can share their findings. Someone is maintaining a running total from Slack (Thanks a ton!), and that says about 12,000 people were let go.
Terrible to hear about layoffs and see our coworkers let go. I hope this madness stops soon so we can focus on work. Tired of being on the edge for the last 6 months. Thanks!
ANY NEWS ABOUT FCRM
YET?
Who is getting cut this week?
Seeing LinkedIn goodbyes - what groups are getting cut this week?
This was a smaller round
From what I can see, this was a pretty limited round, which makes me more worried. Instead of feeling like it’s over, it just feels like the start of something that’s going to continue.
Is it over?
Can we say with certainty that everybody affected has been notified by now?
OptumRx
People saying ORX isn’t affected but more than 25 pharmacists were laid off. It’s unsettling.
I'm so tired of all this
Peak combo of constant crises and steady decline, with the daily expectation of joblessness.
Situation outside our bubble is dire
I would otherwise be out without a second thought. I don't know what your experience is, but there are barely any jobs out there. I reached my peak burnout just as there are no options left. Well, I'll just tread water here until better times, trying not to go nuts from having to show up here every day.
Anything bad to expect next week?
It’s bad all the time. I mean if there is anything in particular not to look forward to?
No point in trying to understand what they're doing
Or when the next round will hit, or how many they think it makes sense to cut. Leadership overextended. AI is a black hole they all fell into, and now they're operating on pure sunk cost fallacy. They may end up shooting themselves in the leg to save the arm. Basically, anything can happen in the near future, and none of it will be good for us.
If it's March 31, how many can be fired in a single day
Maybe tomorrow can happen, by April 3rd it can happen? How many still pending.. How much percentage of Mexico gone?
None-Core layoffs?
Non-Core layoffs, who's actually been affected?
I'm a US-based remote employee in an SMBC Non-Core unit. I was certain I'd be laid off, but the axe hasn't fallen on me or several peers.
Is this a real stay of execution, or just a holding pattern before they sell us off?
