Severance for NJ employees off payroll 2/20

Quick question for anyone in New Jersey who was part of the Feb. 20 layoff wave.
Did you only receive half of your severance so far? If yes, have you heard anything about when the second half is supposed to hit?
Also, any word on the RSU payout timeline? Haven’t seen any updates yet.
Appreciate any info, trying to figure out what to expect. Thanks.

Where are RSUs?

Did anyone get stock this year? This is the first year that I didn't receive any and from what I've heard around, a lot of people didn't receive it that normally do. Did they all go to the leadership team? According to SEC filings, Nicole Jones acquired over 9,000 shares last week (not sure if those were just from this year or prior years vested).

Anyone else dislike RSUs?

While I understand the rationale from a Corporate Accounting perspective, as am Employee, these really suk. The price always goes down when they vest, so I end up earning less. My whole income stream (salary) it tied to this place, I do not need more exposure to an organization I have absolutely no say nor control in. Just give us ca$h, please. Also overcomplicates my Tax Filing. Ca$h is way easier. Please make RSUs go away.

Still waiting on “proof” that those caught in the Nov 20 cuts would have ALL outstanding RSU vest.

Basically, someone stated that the Nov 20 layoff was some kind of exception to the prorated RSU treatment that involuntary separations receive.

That those caught in this particular wave would have all future years (the two tranches for 2027 and the one for 2028) vest upon separation.

Any truth in this?

Major Talent Exodus Following Bonus Payouts

The largest employee migration in Bank of America Company’s history has begun following the February bonus and 401(k) contributions. While some employees are waiting until the end of March for their RSUs to vest, many senior leaders are departing after receiving substantial bonus payouts.🤫

Last RSU and STI?

Offboarded 1/23. Have received 2 RSU payouts as predicted (2/6 and 2/13) but the 3rd is not yet received per typical schedule. Anyone know what might be the holdup there? I saw on a previous post that someone had their last payout in stock and transferred over to their individual account. Is that what I can expect here?
Also, do we have any confirmation that STI will be paid out this Friday?

Should Q have kept my RSUs award?

I was fired from Qualcomm and they canceled my RSUs award plan.

I know probably they can cancel the RSUs I was awrded at the time of joining the company because those were tied to me keeping the job. But was right that they also canceled the stocks in was awarded after AR25? Were those tied to me keeping the job?

Dude... No merit or anything?

After an "exceptional" review, I am hearing no merit or bonus increase? Just a lousy retention RSU of not even 1/2 of a paycheck that vests in who cares amount of time because the stock is going down every single day... I'm so confused, you hand out a retention bonus, in a dogsh*t effort to keep people around, and then say "oh by the way G11+ get nothing this year" lol...

I cannot state this enough, regardless of the size of this company, it's so pathetic how inept our HR or any decision making staff is at communicating. This is entirely a company taking advantage of a flailing job market and uncertain economic factors. Frank being gone lifted a weight off of everyone's shoulders, all for the same procedures of being intentionally cryptic with all verbiage to stick around. I cannot comprehend how listening to employees complaints and being more communicative with your underlings does anything besides boost morale even if a little.

I really do wish one of these soulless HR reps or even Mike would come on here for a second and just read. Even through the side remarks and posts, there are a majority of employees who are concerned about the state of the company and just want to be spoken to like adults. We are humans, we do not want to venture out into the unknown and find new jobs. This cannot continue, or else the constant brain drain that we've experienced for at least half a decade will continue. You cannot ask people to stick around and suffer then simultaneously tell them they will not be receiving more money. The state of the companies affairs due to poor leadership leading to us being left out to dry will only exasperate the issues.

The effort to can these VPs and chairs of divisions has been a solid step in the right direction for relieving some of the draconian measures left behind by Frank, but transparency is what we need now. Pay us, or at the very least, tell us why you can't pay us and explain what your future plans are to make up for this fiasco. Nobody cares for the same people to come on the Town Hall from HR and speak to us with their painful vocal fry, telling us to fill out a curated Q&A form to pad their stats like it's the 4th quarter of a blowout.

After a 75% Drop, Here’s Where I Am

I’m being straightforward here: I’m not keeping my money in Fiserv anymore. In 2025, I tried to offset some of the losses by buying as we slid, hoping we’d stabilize. Looking at my vested RSUs now is just discouraging. In a single year, we lost nearly 75% of our value. I know it’s technically a paper loss, but it’s hard to see it as anything other than a disincentive.

We also haven’t seen meaningful insider investment from leadership. It feels like we’re in a defensive crouch — holding ground, cutting costs, and trying to ride out the storm. I still believe this company can turn things around, but 2025 took a lot of the loyalty out of me.

As we head into Tuesday’s announcement, all we can really do is hope together. With the lack of clarity and vision from the top, hope is the only thing we’ve been given.

Question on RSUs

Now that we see Crown Castle is going to weasel out on the RSUs for the 20% of people they are laying off tomorrow, it made me wonder about this corporate squeeze-play they are doing with RSUs for those in the perimeter.
I’ve been a project manager long enough to know when a project plan has a massive hole in it. Right now, the company is spinning this "retention incentive" like they’re doing us a favor. But look at the math: they are accelerating what we already earned from last year, while completely cutting us out of the 2026 LTI grant.
There are over half of us moving to Zayo or EQT. That means over half the company just got hit with a massive compensation gap while those remaining get the full bag.
For those of us in the field, those RSUs are a huge part of our total pay. If you take that away, it’s basically a constructive pay cut.
A few things that don’t sit right:

  1. The SEC filings say the company has to operate in the "ordinary course of business" until the deal closes. Skipping a standard annual grant for a couple thousand people doesn’t sound like "ordinary course" to me. It sounds like a budget hack to make the books look better for the buyers.
  2. Does this trigger "Good Reason" for us having a material reduction in compensation is grounds to walk with full severance.
  3. We already saw the Byler v. Crown Castle class action pay out for the California crew. Do they really want 2,000 more of us filing a bad faith suit while they’re trying to close a multi-billion dollar deal?
Accelerating my old money doesn't make up for stealing my new money. If Zayo isn't putting a "bridge grant" in our offer letters, Crown Castle is leaving us high and dry.
Time to stop being "Castle Casualties" and start asking questions about our rights, too.

RSUs - why in VZ stock?

I was laid off with the Dec 19 crew. I got an RSU payout on Jan 20, another one on Jan 27, and then the last one on Jan 29 (yesterday). The first two were paid out to my Fidelity Individual account in cash. The last one was paid in VZ stock though. Anyone know why the last one was in stock?

RSUs for Riffed Employees

I have been carefully watching the status of RSUs due to being riffed. I have a screen shot of RSU units and estimated value at that time. The severance FAQ document Q.33 indicates that RSUs granted in 2023, 2024 and 2025 will pay out at their vested rate in 60-90 days after severance.

WARNING: What is not stated .... is that all your RSU's will be frozen at stock value as of 12/19/2025 (last day of employment). Meaning -- what is distributed (arbitrarily and in the last few weeks) is now where near the estimated vested rate per Fidelty in November or December.

Sharing success

Anyone else’s excited for their Sharing Success award! Such a thoughtful thing our company does, rewarding us with a whopping 65 units….
The RSUs and cash bonuses are pathetic.
Meanwhile, BM (Bowel Movement) unloads nearly 17k shares for just under $1m in the middle of each month.

Frontier’s Big Payday

The people lamenting the departure of the Frontier executives have it backwards. Here’s what actually happened:
1- Frontier was loosing money and marketshare
2- Activist hedge funds took a stake in the ailing company and shepherded it through a bankruptcy which reduced its debt
3- They recruited John Stratton, Nick Jeffery and other executives to lead the company after emerging from bankruptcy. Those executives received significant awards of stock and RSUs. The RSUs would vest immediately upon sale of the company
4- Frontier’s situation improved under their leadership although it’s still losing money
5- The hedge funds and the executives got a big payday by selling the company for $20 billion in cash to Verizon. Stratton made about $100 million, Jeffery about $90 million and the hedge funds made billions in profits. The Frontier executives had to resign in order to maximize their payday. They would have been fools to stay.

Switching to another bank/competitor

Hi all, I got an offer at another big bank/competitor. As a VP in risk/controls department, I see that I am required to give a 30 day notice period. Anything less and I will lose my RSU and will be ineligible for rehire.

What is likely to happen if I disclose that I am switching jobs to a competitor and I give my 30 day notice? Will they let me go on the spot, or will they let me finish out my 30 day notice period?

Notice Period

I am not able to get it from the HR site. Eliza is also not helpful in this aspect or I am no good in using Eliza - who knows

Waiting for the 401k matching credit (or should I) and the bonus check. Foregoing the RSUs

Questions are

  1. What is the notice period for SVP level employee?
  2. This year we have 25 days vacation - can these days be used during the notice period - including other time off benefits like Work from Anywhere, paid Safe time and other - are they prorated
  3. How does benefit work during the notice period -
  4. Am I still an employee (and rules bound) or can I be employed elsewhere in parallel
  5. Most importantly, how does compliance work in terms of trading - they can no longer terminate me ... This I wont HR will answer or Eliza can interpret
  6. Since I am leaving voluntarily how does the NDA and IP impact me during notice period and AFTER that (most importantly)
