Service Now

What happened with the big push to move everything to this “new wonderful tool”? I’ve seen a couple apps move, but it seems that forward motion stopped a couple years ago? Any insight other than funding? Seems we’re paying for both now, Service Now & legacy apps?

Global & national context

I thought Dan talking about global and national madness before getting to VZ was quite clever. Puts things in context. VZ madness didn’t feel too bad and kinda expected after hearing all that.

Little manipulative but I guess visionaries have to be little manipulative too

March 2026 Layoff rumor

Does it have any legs?

Also heard that they are looking for volunteers. Bit confused.
If I express interest, then I am exposing my intent to the management which can easily put me in a PIP or find other reasons and kick me out.
If I keep quiet also it may happen but then I missed my chance of volunteering (and may be saving someone who needs the job). I am done with this org and have something else. But I do not want to lose my one-year of potential severance. That is a lot to leave it on the table

Any insight?

If it’s so bad, why haven’t we lost that many clients yet?

It absolutely IS bad, no doubt about it. Every year things have gotten worse and worse. But from a numbers standpoint, have we lost any major clients or even mid sized clients? Or are we just doing well since the market is up and most of our fees are asset-based? I moved out of a finance role years ago so I’m really not close to the numbers as I used to be but would anyone closer have more insight?

AIP

Anyone have any real insight on what AIP will be? Reposting this. Those without real information need not respond as most of what I’ve seen on this site is total bs. Anyone have more than their opinion that they try to pass off as fact?

Provider Network/Client Mgmt/Care Transitions

Does anyone actually know what the life expectancy is for Provider Network/Client Management/Care Transitions roles? Mergers, no direction and messy mix of job roles and responsibilities makes it feel pretty clear at least one, if not all departments/employees will be let go. Does anyone have any actual insights to this?

CSM

CSM team has gone through two round of layoffs already (April and November). I heard more to come after the new year. Anyone has any insight on this?

I will give some insight into the process

There’s a lot of unfounded rumors on here. And although I understand, I might not be privy to all the information - I also am not a fool and I’m aware of this process.

I’ve seen SVP’s in some groups where I’m like. How did this person cobble together brain cells to get out of bed in the morning. One particular gentleman will drop nuggets of wisdom that are more like tu-ds. Using physics analogies, but they’re all incorrect while I’m sitting here with a physics background. Then there are other senior directors that I found out their pay is somewhere about the 300 K band on just base and they’re the biggest waste of air. Then there are plenty of EVP’s there are nothing more than leeches.

Personally, I have not been reached out to you to give a list of employees. However from experience and from others this is how you would do it. First pass all the rank 5 and 4 are safe (we will come back to this). You start in the bucket 2 and 1. If you’re a 3 it’s not about performance as the vast majority is this bucket, it’s how like-able are you to work with and do you make your managers life easy. I know that’s unfair as some managers have vendettas against directs but alas tis’ corporate. Then after if you need more you go to the 5 and 4 ranks. Some groups will give out 5’s like candy and if everyone is a five, then no one is a five. So expect that group have a second review and both pay and politics come into view. At the end you want a lean team of high performers in the 4 & 5 bucket and then the top 70% of the 3’s. If this is giving tech company vibes - don’t be surprised if stack ranking becomes the norm for regularly oustings. The culture will get ugly very quickly.

The only positive is if Verizon gets leaner and we retain top talent then we can promote more easily. But given how shortsighted the geriatric committee is, I wouldn’t be surprised if we also blow this benefit. Cheers all

China closure, why?

There was no clear messaging as to the “why” of the China office closure. Anyone have insight? Clearly it’s not to bring jobs to back US as replacement hiring has been happening Glasgow since summer.

I wonder if SAS is chasing federal projects that have stated or implied requirements that development not occur there?

No issue with journalists mu---ring Saudis however. #saslife

CTV CTB GSP

Is anyone hearing insights on “flattening” the redundant CTB CTV and GSP roles in particular WH (western hemisphere). Seems like other areas are flattening and going back to pre-merch like transformations. Others have said that Bills pyramid will not be touched but that doesn’t seem plausible
