Accenture contractors mass firing

Anybody know what’s going on with Truist and Accenture? Truist decided to end the contracts early for 100+ contractors this week. Granted some of them were offshore/useless but there were quite a few in IT that were solid and were supposed to be extended for another year and then magically the powers that be decided otherwise. Not sure what to make of it but our team is not sized correctly and now we definitely won’t be able to keep up with the workload.

PCPA Justice

Ding Do-g the witch is dead!!

After 2 years of complete mismanagement including the firing of great leaders and workers, Sandy the bully cried her eyes out on today’s town hall. No sympathy and good riddance.

This is usually a place for bad news but this is the best news I’ve heard in a while.

Hopefully Moira is next.

Cyber security cleaning house

Cyber security executives have recently been firing people because they have been putting their own spin on executive orders and thus individuals have been terminated for not meeting company expected standards. Starting in quarter one management is further informed to start cutting manpower based on personal perception and end of year reviews. It's not about your job it's about popularity contest and thus as long as you make your manager and managers above them happy then you're in a good place but if you try to protect the bank or do something that is against the CISO new secure design plan they are going to terminate you without a chance to redeem yourself. Management is further encouraged to get rid of people who do not get above meets.

In short the new management chain wants nothing more than mindless monkeys to push buttons and follow scripts where pictures match the words this is why cybersecurity management is incapable of protecting its employees and throwing them underneath the bus.

Majority of the roles that cybersecurity fulfills will be replaced by AI and managers will be displaced or move to another team to fulfill another role depending on if that executive likes them or not. For managers who are not near a hub location and were promised a year and a half to two year extension to keep their job that's expected to end in quarter one and those managers are expected to be laid off or terminated.

To those individuals in the cyber security line of business good luck now that you are forced to compete like a model competes in a beauty pageant there is no reason for you to even willingly stay here now that you are degraded even more.

And for those who are not aware of cyber security is making this adjustment in quarter one because they're taking advantage of the PTO burn for the holiday season.

If you are not liked by your manager or your manager has given you biased end of year reviews in the last 2 years then your ticket is punched you are going to be gone quarter one

Loyalty only goes one direction with this company

We all know the bs as we see it daily and has been happening for years but I have never been so shocked as I am now. A few years ago I was smart and resigned to go back to school. Except now the industry I went back to school for is suffering so I was hard up for work... I was able to get my job back via a contract company with hopes i would get hired on perm by wf or find a better job before the contract was up..... I came in everyday with a good attitude, i volunteered to read when no one else would, i was back to my desk before break was up, i didn't leave my desk to use the bathroom between breaks because the boss said they don't want to see people doing that and i left my phone an arms length away so I wouldn't violate the cell phone policy... Well I was fired 8 days into the contract because "it wasn't a good fit" or at least that was the reason they gave the contract company... Hmm so I did this exact job you hired me for 4 years and resigned on good terms but now it's not a good fit? Yet everyone in the training group is crocheting on live cam, have their heads down, are having inter office romances via text message (between sites and making drama over it), being blatantly rude to the trainer- but I am the problem? This supervisor just sc--wed me out of being able to get an other wf job because in my 15 years of working for the company and 20 years in working as a whole I have never once been fired but NOW I have to check that freaking box. Thanks bish. Thanks. now im stuck in a year lease i cant get out of after moving back to a small town to take this contract. my job options are now extremely limited and i am completely sc--wed. what a wonderful company to work for- glad i wasted my entire life for them. I am so sick to my stomach and heart broken, and completely alone here. If I didn't have my dog to look after I would walk out into a field and never come back.

People need to learn what a layoff actually is

A layoff happens when your job role is no longer required by the company or is being restructured.
Being laid off does not mean your performance has been poor, but poor performance makes it less likely for you to find another role internally.

On the flip side:

Being fired due to poor performance is not a layoff…… it’s being fired for poor performance.

Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

CDC walks back hundreds of firings as US shutdown persists

In the second week of the U.S. government shutdown, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention notified some 1,300 employees they would be laid off - then rescinded hundreds of those notices within hours, a person familiar with the matter said.

The Trump administration is set to lay off entire offices and hundreds of CDC workers as part of mass job cuts during the federal shutdown, four sources told Reuters on Saturday.

What is going on at Appian?

The CRO is hiring all his buddies from his former company and firing or pushing out the tenured RVPs and AEs. The GC mysteriously decides to retire. The weird announcement about MM. Should we all be concerned?? What's the story with TG leaving after 9 years at Appian. Who is taking over the west?

Norlin is going on his firing frenzy

Norlin is beginning his firing frenzy. He’s getting pressure from KKR and he refuses to take accountability that account alignment was mismanaged, and quotas were improperly set. Some reps need to grow territories 6o7 times previous years revenue, while some make their numbers from standard uplift from one renewal. He’s unquestionably the laziest and most worthless manager I’ve ever seen

You will NOT be paid for sick days after a firing or layoff

When you are fired or layedoff , TCS will ONLY pay out the vacation days and only because it is required by law in states. Many states have varying laws covering sick days payout, but for the most part you will NOT be payed sick days accumulated.
So, given holidays are near, put in for sick days by saying it is for routine physicals, or planned outpatient procedures and take all your sick days.
You will NOT be payed out any outstanding sick days and are giving TCS a financial gift when they are not payed out.
You have been told, god bless all those that will be affected this massive layoff due to the Trump H1-B $100K per APPLICATION fee..

unfavorable social media posts

Has anyone heard of anyone being fired for unfavorable social media posts? In light of all the companies I see firing people for their comments regarding Charlie Kirk's assignation and then the Pulse article titled "Pause Before You Post: A Reminder on Social Media Responsibility", I figure social media posts will be ELV next way of firing people. They will be able to reduce numbers while not having to pay severance...smh
