I hope not many of you see this post because you’re spending time with family and enjoying a relaxing few days. This past year has been tough, and I’m keeping those who lost their jobs in my thoughts. For the rest of us, I hope the coming year is better, or at least calmer, and that things improve for all of us at work.

Burned out and stuck
I’m exhausted and nowhere near retirement. Leaving feels impossible after investing this much time, but staying isn’t easy either. Sometimes I wish the decision would just be made for me.
Hey thanks for nothing upper management!
I mean that's really it. Billion dollar company. Our manager didnt even gift us some measley points for Christmas.
Merry Christmas 🎁🎄
Wishing everyone the best for 2026 that were or will be affected in the future with layoffs.
Best wishes to everyone .
Happy New Year 🎆.
Change how you think about job searching
I stopped obsessing over salary and focused on finding something that actually interested me and let me grow my skills. Starting over isn’t easy, and I knew that going in, but the constant stress disappeared almost immediately. I’m learning new things, branching out in my field, and not dreading every workday. That alone has made the move worth it. It’s been a real breath of fresh air.
The Saddest Place to Work 2025
As the former employee I could only to sum up that in 2025 O was the saddest place to work through the years.
Happy Holidays to you guys!
Raises for 2026
Has anyone heard if we will get raises and what the % is? My boss keeps saying how much she appreciates me.
How can anyone stay invested when it means nothing?
Hard work and dedication clearly don’t pay off, and layoffs are always looming. Why should anyone care about the outcomes? Worse, from what we’ve seen over the years, the better you are at your job, the higher the chance you’ll be cut. And god forbid you actually show professional integrity.
Is BP a good company?
Have a buddy starting there as a college hire
Worst company ever
This is the worst company I’ve ever worked for. How this is an established business and not a start up is beyond my understanding.
I still remember a time when I felt good about going to work
Yes, I’m that old. And it hasn’t been fun going through all the stages of things falling apart, only to reach a point where I can’t wait to cut ties. I hope that during the next wave someone notices that I’m over 50, therefore a zombie by current corporate standards, and finally puts me out of my misery. I’m not leaving without severance. I’ve earned it many times over the years.
Crown jewels
I love knowing I will be getting a raise that doesn’t keep up with cost of living while she’s here wearing about $100,000 worth of jewelry to wish us a happy holidays
Overworked. Underpaid. Underappreciated. Who cares ?
I make under $100,000 a year. The job is categorized at 40 hours. Yet, me and my coworkers often work close to 60 hours per week. When the company fired 250 employees, where did their workloads go ? To me and everyone else. Are the corporate executives making $700,000 feeling our pain in anyway ? When will receive additional support ? Never ? More gets lumped on each day w/no end in sight. The only option is to quit and that is exactly what i will be doing. Woe is me. Good riddance.
Life goes on
To those who are leaving Tomorrow, may God iluminate your new path and help find success on your new endevours.
To those who get to stay.... May you have peaceful and joyful holidays. Please leave this board for now ......Come back in about two/three months......
Am I the only person who's actually mostly happy at Dell?
I have my complaints for sure but like, overall I have an amazing thing going for me. I have a great job that I genuinely enjoy but, realize I'm being paid less than market value. I have a fantastic team that I get along with very well and we are all "friends." Up until the stupid managerial "reorg" this last year, my manager has been one of the best I've ever had - new "manager" is basically MIA 99.999% of the time so I know very little about him.
Some of you may laugh at this but I do feel I have fairly good job security because I am on the FED side and I'd tell you what it is but, we are so tiny that I'd be immidiately known if anybody reads this...I am in a job position in which is quite.... sensitive to say the least.
I love working in FED because we are a tight nit department and everyone gets to know everyone on a more personable level. That's great for ppl like me but terrible for some people lol.
My complaints are the RTO, the random af managerial "reorg" and pure lack of promotions for the last 5 years. Otherwise, I'm pretty happy overall.
Merry Christmas
Hope all Dell workers and previous Dell workers have a wonderful XMAS. In 2026 you want to rid yourself of Dell and ensure you sell any Dell stock you might own...
It’s MARCH DAY!!!
How are you going to celebrate your windfall from our benevolent leader's? Dancing with joy? A parade perhaps? Share with us your plans on how you will celebrate surviving until today to get that match.
When Work Feels Busy but Meaningless
Optum/UHC jobs exist less to create real value and more to sustain systems, hierarchies, and the appearance of productivity.
People often sense—quietly and uncomfortably—that their work doesn’t truly help customers or society, even while it consumes their time and energy. This disconnect creates fatigue, cynicism, and a low-grade moral injury, especially when work centers on compliance, internal processes, or managing perceptions rather than solving real problems. The deeper issue isn’t effort or competence, but being asked to spend a life maintaining structures instead of meaning—while the work that actually keeps society functioning is undervalued and strained.
I am just punching a clock, socking away as
Much as possible. What I don't like is my drinking has increased massively and that's my problem. Lunchtime I head out and go to some random parking lot and knock a few back. Have a tumbler roadie for the office to nurse for the afternoon and then have a few for the ride home. By 8-9 pm every day I am lights out asleep only to do it all over again. Do you think there are many more drinking, getting high on the job? I only have a couple more years of this but man it's taking a toll.
EOY holiday parties (or lack thereof in the US )
I’ve noticed some social media posts from BA and Manila’s holiday parties and can’t help but feel sad and a sense of resentment for us American workers. Something has to change on a national and economic policy basis. American workers are getting decimated
I’m a survivor
I detest my job. I work 60-hour weeks without any benefits.
Perhaps if I work harder, they’ll take care of me?
The mood around Exxon is pretty bleak
It feels like Exxon isn't the same place anymore. Everyone I talk to just expects the next change to make things worse. There's no real hope for things improving, just this constant worry about what's coming. It's really difficult to stay positive in this atmosphere.
Counting down to the holiday break
I know it's a little sad, but I am desperately looking forward to that week. It feels like the only thing getting me through this month. I don't even remember when this job started being so bad for my head. I just know it is.
The Hunger Games
Besides the people that were let go, the impact on their families and this ever changing landscape, where it is difficult to find a new job, there are other casualties as well:
Work that will fall on the decimated teams, survivors guilt, and environment of fear and hopelessness.
Is it finally done for this calendar year?
not what I imagined…..
I have been at this company for 5 months and it’s nothing like it was sold to be in my interviews….. the promise of hybrid work just to be forced back into office. The promise of an upbeat environment just for it to be dull most days. I’ve heard through the grapevine that so many people aren’t happy….. Granted it’s better than Wells in more ways than not lol, but Man!? Am I the only person hired in the least year that feels like I was lied to?
Wise words
When looking for a job, let the technology work for you. Set up job alerts on LinkedIn. When you see a job, post immediately because sometimes postings get pulled quickly. Bring your laptop with you to the office. Take a lunch and use that time to look for jobs. Know you will go on interviews and get ghosted. You will take various personality tests and get ghosted. If someone tells you they are interested, know they might ghost you. Know if you work with a placement firm and they find you a role that is not a good match, they will ghost you. Rejection is part of the process. I was not prepared for that.
It took me 7 months of rejection to find a new role. I applied for 3 to 7 jobs every week on average. In all types of industries. And in the end, I found a job that is remote (but with 2 offices within driving distance) that is paying me 35% more for less responsibility. The culture is far better. We like our employees here. I should have done this years ago.

Title: Is Anyone Else Overwhelmed With the Amount of Work vs. the Lack of Employees/Resources?
Lately it feels like we’re drowning in projects while only a handful of full-time employees are expected to carry all of it, and somehow the workload just keeps growing. We’re constantly being assigned new tasks without any additional support, yet leadership still questions missed deadlines and wonders what we’re doing with our time. It’s frustrating and exhausting, and I’m honestly wondering if anyone else is dealing with this same imbalance between expectations and actual resources.
Best NM boss
Who do you think is an awesome boss at NM, and you’d bend backwards to work for him or her?
This is so telling
It seems that hope for next year is scarce. Looking at the chatter around 2026, optimism seems nonexistent. Most people don't expect any improvements, on the contrary. No wonder morale has never been lower.
Oklahoma AG joins lawsuit against State Farm
State Farm has been found out again! They knew exactly what they were doing and just got caught! Sounds like they just tried to buy people off but it was basically too big for them to hide anymore. If the states AG and Departments of Insurances knew half of what State Farm has been doing over the last decade, most of the Exec would be in jail and they would shut this place down. Sh-t hole and scam! They treat their employees like they treat customers!
I’m having a hard time dealing with this much stress
The job on its own is demanding enough, but knowing it could disappear any day adds a whole new layer of anxiety and exhaustion. Has anyone ever considered the revolutionary idea that employees who feel reasonably secure and actually rested might be far more productive?
Red logo was well worth the cost
Nearly a billion in costs for rebranding has really turned the company around! All my friends neighbors and family love the new color and tell me all the time how they my employer, netflix. Thanks Leslie!
Locusts, locusts everywhere.....
Been with WF for a looooong time. And I have to say, this is the worst nepotism I've ever seen. Its true. And for those of us who have been around as long as I, we might have gotten one or two back in the day. Soon, they were acclimated to WF and we, the worker bees, never really saw a difference.
Now? Holy cow, they move in, fire existing technical staff, bring in their buddies and replace everyone over a period of time.
I liken it to locusts...they move as a group, strip the ground bare of anything good, then move on to the next green pasture.

To folks in corporate risk making stuff up
Wish you a merry Christmas. Hope your children enjoy my daughter’s presents and your husband appreciates my family’s turkey. We love you in the trenches. Make a few more mince policies.
How much money was spent to remodel corporate?
Anyone’s guess how much money has been spent on constantly renovating corporate over and over again? And why? Everyone hates going into the office.
Holiday Cheer!
As an homage to all FiServants who are sl@ving away this holiday season I wrote y'all a poem:
A FiServant drags through the halls where joy becomes “out of scope,”
Holiday cheer gets audited, repackaged, and shipped out with no hope.
The tree looks like it’s begging for someone to pull the plug, too,
Even the ornaments whisper, “You deserve someplace new.”
Happy Holidays and remember you are more than this job...
Told to just stop coming in????
Last week higher mgmt called me and just straight up told me to stop coming in. Told me I’ll receive my notice in writing in the new year and I’ll receive a few months of pay. Benefits will last until EOY. Ummmmmmm is this normal??? Where’s the formality? I can’t even tell if i was fired or let go or punk’d. Can someone please advise on what I should do? Hopeful stories after layoffs
I was thinking recently about a few folks who were cut last year and ended up landing on their feet in surprising ways. One started freelancing and now earns more with half the stress, and another moved abroad and rebuilt her whole routine. Knowing examples like that helps me see that losing a job is not the end of the road. Knowing full well I might be next, hearing about real wins keeps me grounded. Any sign that life can turn in a better direction helps right now.
