The adjustment’s going to be a nightmare. I’d bet anything we’ll lose the people who are the true backbones of the teams.

VRP replacement
I applied for a job that they are filling due to 3 people taking VRP. Is this a good move? I thought they wanted to cut the workforce, not replace them.

Just sayin is all…
Bay Area Layoff
https://www.crn.com/news/networking/2025/cisco-layoffs-total-more-than-200-in-bay-area-cut
On the heels of the news that the company is refreshing its channel leadership, Cisco is cutting 221 workers in the San Francisco Bay Area by mid-October.
“I don’t want to get rid of a bunch of people right now. I don’t want to get rid of engineers,” Robbins said. “I just want our engineers we have today to innovate faster and be more productive, and that gives us a competitive advantage.”

Arena BioWorks lays off 30% of its staff

Remember when layoffs weren’t just considered normal?
I miss those days.
Survivor guilt
Anybody else feeling this way knowing that people with more experience (who helped me when I needed it the most) have been laid off? I'm grateful I still have a job, don't get me wrong, but I still feel incredibly guilty, even though I know none of this had anything to do with me.
Happy to be laid off if i get 5 month severance
This place is a disaster and is not going anywhere but straight down to the bottom of the ocean. Just a bunch of incompetent bench warmers just pretending to work for an underpaid salary. Would rather use that time for something productive instead of pretending to work and dealing with the BS at this company
Deadline & Variety now reporting 2.5k-3k cuts coming

Where were cuts deepest?
Curious where folks are seeing cuts. HSE here, and honestly I can’t tell how deep this is. I am seeing a lot of down grading of roles tho…
This can only hurt EJ
Letting people go to improve results is short-sighted and self-defeating. It doesn’t solve anything and just shifts the pressure onto those who remain, making everyone miserable and less productive.
EM = mass layoffs
How do people not realize this?
DLs will be squeezed out
From what I am hearing, most of folks on ISP list will be DLs.
Given the objective of cascade 2 is to reduce leadership layers, it makes sense. GPs/Directors will save their skin and throw DLs under the bus.
Skills, capabilities and performance will not matter. If you are a DL and don’t have a GP/Director protecting you, your name will end up on the ISP list.
Why even ask if more layoffs are coming?
That’s just how it is - layoffs, all the time. We probably won’t even have to wait until next Friday, or Sept 2, or whatever date is floating around, to find out.

The WIM hammer
The WIM hammer is coming. Market Leaders not recruiting, gone! Branch Managers not recruiting, gone! Not generating income via Alts, gone!
TAM Layoffs?
Does anyone know if there will be more TAM Layoffs coming now that everyone's been given a new title?
October RIFs and 20% Targets?
I’m hearing rumors that business lines/functions will have 20% targets for an October RIF. Is anyone else hearing the same? Does anyone know of any specifics?
Hallmark eliminates 30 jobs
The company is tightening up its workforce across multiple divisions and restructured several parts of its business, resulting in the loss of 30 jobs. The cuts have been made with “the goal of investing in capabilities that will propel our business into the future,” according to a Hallmark spokesperson.

Why even bother putting people on PIPs?
We all know leadership’s goal is to cut us down to bare bones. Why waste time and energy on PIPs, ffs? Just to save a couple of bucks in a sea of layoffs?

Future layoffs
Hi everyone, has anyone heard any credible updates or timelines regarding potential future layoffs? Just trying to stay informed and plan accordingly. Thanks in advance.
Why Cisco not announced layoff after 8/13
It is because a big headcount cut will happen and will be announced around November 12, minimum 10k employees will be impacted.
Food on cork site
Is the food on the cork site part of the forced wfr attempts.
The standard of the food is frankly disgusting and the menu that gets sent out weekly is often incorrect.
I've been thinking is the food designed to try to destroy our will and quit?
Did they put any thought into the layoff selections?
There doesn’t seem to have been any strategic assessment of ongoing projects or team structures. My team is literally falling apart, and it's only going to get worse. We've lost people who were critical to anything beyond routine backend tasks. What’s the point of such crude cuts? It feels like they’re more likely to create long-term problems than solve anything.

Sperry Northbelt Layoffs
Some very senior managers laid off and are now looking for work as "engineers." Damn, those id--ts don't know the first thing about engineering. They've been milking the system for years. Best of luck finding a job, I suggest applying at McDonald's. Actually, lets not insult MacDonald's.
1200 Associates
I keep hearing that 1000-1200 associates are going to receive the ISP. This would be a substantially higher number than what have been discussed related to Reimagined. Is anyone else hearing similar rumblings?
Envision Group and Foodbuy layoffs
Envision group being gutted. Losing over 20 people and Foodbuy eliminating about 30. Most were long tenure associates with over 10 years of service with compensation over $120,000
Seems like a layoff partty every 6 months
The company no longer values longevity or tenure. A couple times a year, they cut budget which means take chunks out of operating costs by chopping tenured people. Use them for a couple years and then move on...
Will Oracle's big layoff affect SAP?
https://www.thelayoff.com/t/1k2rztnsw
"Oracle blood bath is happening big time starting from yesterday (8/and still going on as of today. Oracle Cloud (OCI), Netsuite, VB, Jet, My SQL and other areas majorly affected.
No official numbers yet but around 10%.
Affected across roles:
H1Bs and US citizens
Employees based in India and in the US
Employees at all levels up to SVP
Low performers and high performers
New joiners and employees with 20 years at Oracle
Engineers and Project Managers"
How many people are they letting go?
Based on what people are sharing, these layoffs seem massive and widespread. Why are we being kept in the dark? The lack of communication is making an already difficult situation far more stressful and disorienting than it needs to be.
Heard through the grapevine that large cuts are coming next week. AGAIN
Sr. Director here.
Had my 1x1 with my SVP yesterday and was told that I likely will have to cut 5 people. I was told that this is company wide and most, if not all, departments and teams will be hit with a minimum of 10% for each team. Apparently it comes down to which is "cheaper" - cut ties with a vendor and get rid of a necessary tool, or cut people. In this case, it's sadly people. She couldn't tell me much but it sounds like it's supposed to be fairly big.
More layoffs today
Another 7 or 8 people from marketing let go this week.
When's the BIG axe falling?
I know we're having layoffs weekly, but I was kind of expecting there to be a bigger cut at the start of h2. Still looking at feb 2026?
