I hear announcements of more cuts coming this week to make room for those accepting relocation from other regions.

To relocate or not?
The job market is bad and I haven’t been able to land any offers despite some interviews. Relocation would probably save my job temporarily but it would cost my other’s job as it is not transferable. Anybody faced this situation? What did you do? Also, were you let go after relocation costing both jobs?
Root D4 Swiss Office will be closed
All employees will be asked to move to Amsterdam. Anyone knows more?
How safe is it to relocate for Nike?
I was offered a promotion but I'd have to move for it. It's not a bad offer, but with all the cuts, I'm a bit hesitant to pack up and move my entire family and then potentially end up jobless. Is this something that actually happens or am I safe at least for a while if I accept?
The state of Beaumont
I’d like to hear from current/former employees. I have an opportunity for a move to Beaumont but I’m not familiar with the site at all. Any information shared would be greatly appreciated.
HQ move- All part of the plan
The plan was to allow people to choose to move to Dallas and choose a home near HQ or south, where homes are slightly more affordable. Then move HQ ~26 miles north (which falls within the loophole for severance), adding another hour plus of traffic if you live near downtown Dallas. This will NOT be the only move that will be happening. other reporting locations near Dallas are also moving north.
Coincidently the company is aware of what demographics will be most disproportionally impacted. For those employees who live in south Dallas, this will put your drive (in traffic) to about 2.5 hours each way.
Dallas HQ Officially Moving
Heard from a valid source that we officially are moving to the north suburbs at the end of the lease. Deal is signed. Goodbye downtown.
No to Relocation
Heard from 2 independent sources (i.e. Supervisor and above) now that the number of people not opting to relocate to Edmonton is much higher than what Management anticipated. It will be interesting to see how they handle this!!
Lake Mary campus to close
Heard that they are planning to move all the Lake Mary jobs to New Jersey in the next two years.
Why stay in Chicago?
Northern needs to take a hard look as to why they keep so many employees in chicago… major expense reduction can be realized by moving those administrative jobs to lower cost locations
San Ramon Move Dates
I’ve heard notifications are going out to folks. Some of my colleagues have gotten an e-mail with a 9/1/26 date to be fully moved to Houston. I haven’t received anything yet. Have you?
Belgrade Village
There’s a rumour that Atleos will leave the new office building in New Belgrade and move to a village called Šimanovci. I hope this isn’t true, but still…
CAO
Is this really the second/third email in three months about core locations? Are they actually moving forward this time? It kind of feels like anyone not in a core location might eventually be at risk. Am I reading that wrong?
Here it is for us
Just had a meeting with director and supervisor . Salisbury, MD, Dover De, Hampton Roads and Richmond Call centers are being shut down. Wireline fios customer service in Silver Spring is where we can go and return to office. We can take the package or relocate there. 90 days! The package is nice but people are upset
Basking Ridge Closing!
Moving HQ to TX, tax incentives
Layoffs across the organization. US headcount a target.
Layoffs are starting as we head into the holiday season. Many US roles, especially a number of roles in IT, are being relocated to lower cost hubs. Tough time to be a US employee, as many good people are leaving the organization. Morale is at a low point.
North Haven campus
Just heard this morning; strong possibility the North Haven campus will relocate and close down. CT costs continue to be too high for MDT corporate. No timeline
Market Location Strategy paused?
Someone posted last week that there was a pause in Market Location Strategy displacements in Risk (see post titled "Risk Location Strategy"). I've heard something for a different group that was supposed to get their relocation decision letters in November (in advance of being displaced in the coming months), but that was "paused". Does anyone know if there is a larger change to the policy going on?
Value Miami Office
What’s up with it? The expo was cancelled and there’s rumor about the kitchen staff being laid off come December. Does this mean we’re staying at the old office? Does it mean we’re moving sooner than anticipated? Does anyone know?
TNL locations for regional staff
Hearing this week TNL locations will be roled out for regional staff (ACE Wireline) affected folks will be asked if willing to move or report to TNL locations. If not....
Remote Employees
anyone have any intel on Phase 2 / timing? Will all remote workers be required to relocate close to an office ? Wondering if any management has been asked to prove the necessity of some of their remote people. Do we think exceptions will be made for those who were originally hired as remote employees ?
Remote Employees
Confirmed conversation of AD asking remote employees if given the choice, would they relocate or voluntarily leave the business. Sounds like a list is being compiled.
West Palm Beach hub
How many WIM executives relocating to the new West Palm Beach hub? What level(s) of management are allowed to work there? Were the executives required to move to West Palm Beach or was it optional with some choosing to remain at other hubs? How does this impact the broader location strategy?
In Office Policy & RIF non-directional locations
Is it true the that Verizon wants to RIF most employees in non-directional locations in late 2026 and 2027 as part of the broader strategy to go lean?
Now that we have three main directional locations, Dan wants to accelerate the plan to shutdown real estate in non-directional locations (cost reduction), make 5 days in office and then start removing the employees in non directional locations. Of course some key ones would be asked to relocate.
This is probably not the case for the RIF this month but coming in 2026!
just joined Verizon, now what ?
I'm a develop joining right before the new CEO.
I assume i will be the first one if layoff happens in my team.
All my long term plan has to be reconsidered at this point.
Relocation, housing etc.
Real advises please guys.
How long this thing would last ?
Should i start looking for new job?
Anyone i can talk to make myself feel better ?
Market doesn’t like move to Edmonton
Stock market didn’t like today’s earnings, despite record upstream performance.
Because a move to Edmonton, and its crazy write offs, which makes no business sense.
Could have easily right sized the corp and stayed in Calgary.
SPM vs. DPK
Which site is safer: DPK or SPM? I recently got a job offer for SPM but I’d have to move my family from TX to PA. Thats a huge change considering it’s PA.
Wells Fargo layoffs could grow even more than originally expected, executives say
https://www.bizjournals.com/sanfrancisco/news/2025/10/14/layoffs-wells-fargo-job-cuts-wfc-severance-expense.html
The San Francisco-based bank has cut almost a fourth of its workforce from a peak five years ago, and the bank is still shedding staff.
No point moving to Charlotte or NYC if they ask you to move. Instead take a package/severance and bail out because you may move and then let go in 6 months. No loyalty left or value for talent. It is all about cutting cost as promised to the board by Charlie and getting his Bonus before bailing out of Wells.
First timers in Dallas
Hello all! To whose who moved first time to Dallas, how did you do it and how much it costed if not selling a home here. Did your spouses had to leave their jobs hometown! What tips do you have?
Got an offer here should I take it?
Got an offer from TIAA at either Frisco or Charlotte (my choice family in Dallas and Charlotte so relocation money out of my pocket is minimal) but already have a job at another retirement services firm. TIAA pays more and offers better benefits but still have a job that is stable for probably another year. Should I take this one or keep my current one? Glassdoor and other sites make TIAA feel like a dumpster fire especially compared to where I am now.
Also saw another post about FIS where I have some experience with and wasn’t sure but don’t want to respond to that post. Didn’t want to take the role and get laid off if they change RK system too soon.
Georgia Innovation Center to close at end of year
it was just announced this morning that Georgia Innovation Center will be closed at the end of year. Most people will either be terminated or given opportunities to move to other locations.
Wells Fargo Dallas office issues for Denver/Frisco
Grand opening of the new state of the art office in Dallas may become a big issue for Denver’s neighbors in the cash register building.
Possible that WF will look to relocate/layoff associates and minimize or close that office in the future. Making soon to be let go TIAA Denver associates job hunts more difficult … while also instantly make it even harder than it already is to find that fresh young talent in Frisco at TIAA….
What a tremendous job by TBD and her team of talented executives including puff daddy’s right hand man and the the Texas location “worm in the ear” started by smart people in the late great Herb Alison leadership and his team that was the greatest leadership era of our time before TBD who will only surpass his excellence. (sarcasm)

Seems offices are needed in Pittsburgh
Overheard two managers talking about upcoming layoffs the first Monday of November. Didn’t hear the whole conversation but heard WFH staff in Oriskany and Dallas. The list has been finalized and positions are being filled in Pittsburgh and Houston. Good luck everyone.
How Many Clinton (Annandale), New Jersey Workers Have Relocated to Houston?
ExxonMobil to close huge N.J. facility as part of consolidation plan
By Sarah F. Griffin | NJ Advance Media for NJ.com
ExxonMobil will close a large research facility in Hunterdon County as part of a plan to consolidate its corporate research operations at its Houston headquarters.
Most of the employees at the Exxon Mobil Research and Engineering division will be offered jobs at the new facility in Texas. The Clinton Township campus, along with a research facility in Ontario, Canada, will close as part of the consolidation, which will be done in phases that will continue until 2028, according to a report by Bloomberg.
“We are incredibly disappointed to learn that ExxonMobil has chosen to close this facility over the next few years,” Clinton Township Mayor Brian Mullay said in a statement. “We will work closely with our partners at Hunterdon County Economic Development & Tourism, the NJ Highlands Council and ExxonMobil to ensure that the developable portion of the property continues to contribute to our area’s economic success and that the ecologically critical areas are preserved to protect our environment.”
In October 2022, ExxonMobil informed the township it had partnered with Prologis do a feasibility study that looked at redeveloping a portion of the property as a warehousing complex. The idea met was met with opposition from the community, according to Clinton Township Council meeting minutes.
In September of last year, Joe Wong, a commercial portfolio manager for ExxonMobil, told the township council that the company was not going to expand beyond the 150 acres that make up its current campus. It last underwent an expansion there in 2017.
The facility employs between 500-600 and pays $3.5 million a year in property taxes, Wong said during a presentation before the council.
Don Carpenter, president of Independent Laboratory Employees’ Union - United Steel Workers Local 09009, said the union the decision impacts over 100 of its members who work at the facility.
“As of right now, none of the unionized workers at the site have been offered relocation or continued employment within the company, however the union will be entering into bargaining with ExxonMobil over the effects of this unfortunate decision,” Carpenter said.
ExxonMobil told NJ Advance Media it is “committed to meeting our obligations under the collective bargaining agreement” and expects “to have further dialogue with them on this announcement.”

Would I be able to avoid RTO by moving?
I haven’t been told to RTO yet, but I’m worried that may happen in the near future. I’m not in MN or DC, but my office is one of the next biggest after that. I got hired right before covid and have been working remotely the entire time except for my first few months. I’m technically assigned to the office and not officially a telecommuter, but I’ve only been into my office a handful of times the past 5 years.
Lately I’ve been thinking about moving out of state, which is a personal decision not related to RTO. I like my job and would like to keep it and work there remotely. Most of my team lives in different states, so this really wouldn’t change anything.
What I’m curious about is, if I’m suddenly told to RTO, would it then be too late to request to move out of state, something I’m thinking of doing anyways? Or if I’m told to RTO, could I avoid it by moving? Realistically I’m probably a year or so away from moving, but wondering if I should get going quicker if I need to do this before a RTO mandate.
Growth
Welp sounds like work will be moving
Who Got Co-Location Notices ??
Two people I know got it. Have to go to office where their manager is located.
