CX Development - 15yrs - riffed
To meet FY26 goals, the decision has been made to let you go.
15yrs, gone in a blink.
Last day 9/22.
What's your end date?
I'm hearing some people are working through the end of September.
~30k employees target?
Can anyone confirm if the goal is to reduce the work force to around 30k employees? That would mean a major layoff compared to the current staff size. I came across a comment about this and wanted to see if anyone senior here can confirm this information
17 years means nothing
I'm out. Oracle Health. So much for loyalty.
VCF PSO....
..so when exactly would the plug be pulled for the rest of this division, as we all know there is going to be a shift to partners?
Some say end October/Start of November? What are you hearing?

Companies have to be competitive by relying on cheap indentured labor or outsourcing work to sweatshops. If NM don't, fall behind in the market. To see real change, elect politicians who will protect American jobs by banning H-1B visas, reducing immigration, and placing tariffs on outsourced services from cheaper countries.
Cheap labor
A company is competitive by taking advantage of cheap indentured labor importation and outsourcing work to sweatshops. If you need to see change then elect politicians that will change laws to protect American jobs by banning H1B, reducing immigration and tariff services from India
Weird Job Market
I’m recently impacted by the layoffs, and as I’m looking for a new job, I see that the market is very tough. There are a lot of jobs in the banking sector, and they are only for USC or GC. They’re not offering the jobs for visa holder, but the same job is offered to contractor on visa through c-2-c consultancy.
Assuming the pay grades ending in “P” are individual contributors, I was particularly intrigued at the existence of a 5VP and 4VP.
Are there director and VP level individual contributors?
It's getting close to the end of the year and I'm still here
I was convinced I'd be long gone by now. This shows you just how bad the job market is. Despite my best efforts, over a year of searching and still nothing.
ISP Employees: Emails To Document Your Employment Rights When Involuntarily Terminated
This is general information, not legal advice. Please consult a lawyer. Many employment lawyers will do a free consultation and only charge a fee if they win your case.
If you’re 40 or older and asked to sign a severance agreement that waives age discrimination claims, the Older Workers Benefit Protection Act (OWBPA) requires that you be given enough time to consider it — 21 days for individual separations and 45 days if it’s part of a group layoff. You must also have 7 days after signing to revoke your acceptance. In a group layoff, the company is additionally required to disclose the job titles and ages of employees selected and not selected in the same decisional unit, so you can evaluate whether older workers were disproportionately affected.
If you already accepted and are over 40 you still have 7 days to withdrawal. If the company does not allow for the required review period then you may still have the option for legal recourse.
Below is an email script to use to document important information to protect your rights.
If the company responds with “Please see the FAQs,” acknowledge that you are aware of the FAQs and would like a direct response to your situation in this email.
I acknowledge receipt of the separation notice effective [date]. Before I take any next steps, I would appreciate some clarification.
Specifically, could you please provide:
1. Whether positions with my current title still exist at the company, or if the role is being eliminated entirely.
2. An explanation of the criteria used in selecting me for separation.
3. Any policies or documents that explain how severance eligibility is being handled.
4. Information about how these decisions are being applied across my department or job group.
5. Since the notice provides less than 45 days to consider the severance agreement, could you clarify why that timeframe was chosen?
I want to ensure I fully understand the process and my options. Thank you for helping provide this information so I can move forward thoughtfully.
Making Brackets
I was listening to the Dave Ramsey show and one of the callers said her job was making brackets. Made me think of the infamous quote.
Consult Partner Hiring?
Consult Partners Hiring?
Heard from an external recruiter that Kyndryl is hiring 20+ Consult Partners in the US, at $250k+ base. How accurate is that?
Would anyone recommend pursuing the opportunity? How's the interview process? How's the current situation at the company (layoffs, contract orders, etc)? Are the current projects really based on cloud, AI/ML, IoT, as their website says?
anyone from IDC got laid off? what is the severance package ?
anyone from IDC got laid off? what is the severance package ? is there any opportunity to look for internal jobs?
You will be fired
If you’re not very actively looking you’re being a fool. They are going to find every conceivable way to push you out. Questioning your scope, doubting the need for headcount, pretending to not understand functions that have existed for years and are crucial - all to hit a stock price. Opps exists solely to destroy as many lives as possible. HR is just legal cover so they can pretend there’s a “peocess.” There will be devastating layoffs in September, followed by nonsense where they choose 15% people they don’t think are cool enough (because IBM is basically a mean girl club in a jr high school) to not get bonuses hoping for attrition,, followed by more debanding - hoping for attrition, followed by a five day workweek hoping for attrition, followed by another round of devastating layoffs - which probably just barely gets us to next summer. “Operations people” at IBM are subhuman filth who only care about hurting as many of you as possible. Protect yourself. Protect your children. Get out. That has to be your full time job. Just get out.
New campus in India, is there a future here for American workers?
I'll be honest, i'm not feeling great about this announcement. Ive seen it before at previous companies and when this happens, majority of the opportunities dry up and most new positions open overseas. Wondering if anyone has an idea of what's going to go down. Are they planning layoffs? What areas are they planning on offshoring?
Not sure how anybody does it
Prior to mission one I was a part timer that usually worked close to 40 hours a week essentially a no benefits full timer. I became a FTOW in early 2023 and was one until I handed my tablet in in June 2024. One thing I say to myself is I don’t know how anybody does it. Seeing how burnt out this job made me it seems hard to understand why it’s not doing this to other people unless it is and they just don’t show it. This was definitely the worst job experience I ever had I feel like I still have ptsd from it now which is why I’m struggling enjoying my current job. This job did nothing but burn me out. Pack out the order, write the order, go through the dead stock, write the credits, leave salesforce notes, 3 packouts 3 or 4 writes all expecting to be done in an 8 hour day. No more than 40 hours a week. I went from being fun and energetic to being aggravated and drained worn out never happy depressed can’t get my mind off sh-t. Since I work full time in a supermarket which doesn’t pay great but it was so bad last year that I was willing to do anything to get off mission one but it had to be full time with benefits I run into one of the sales reps I frequently worked with in my 8 years with Mondelez and he keeps telling me how it keeps getting worse every day. Full timers quitting, everyone he speaks to saying they’re looking for a new job, more BS cr-p added to what was already there, can’t find anyone that wants to work, struggling to even get part timers the list goes on. He also told me that sales are only half of what they were pre-covid. But all I can say is after how much of a nightmare my life became because of this job I can’t see how anyone does this. I mean if this job is making anyone’s life living he-l like it did for me now’s that time to get out. Even if it means getting a job that pays the same but doesn’t stress you out as much so you can reevaluate your future better by all means go for it even if you’ll still have trauma from this terrible job for the next year. Staying here won’t make it any better that’s for sure. If I knew what I know today I would have never taken the FTOW role stayed as a no benefits full timer which would have eventually meant me getting a different full time job and not stayed on board even as a part timer. I do gig work like Uber and Lyft so I have a way of supplementing the income that I could use on top of my full time job. I was taken so much advantage of when they talked me into becoming a FTOW I felt like all I was doing was serving as life support for a dying breed and taking the work from a sales rep who had no intent to leave but was forced to either take the package or step down all because this company wants to get rid of reps. It would be much smarter to get out rather than stay and hope it’ll return to what it was. If anything mission one is mission done meaning it’ll be their exit from DSD which I’m sure if and when that comes it’ll be just weeks or months after a giant sales rally spewing a bunch of word salad at how this company “has a great future”.
Ready to quit but there are no jobs.
Am I alone here in saying that I've been run ragged for months and the heat keeps getting turned up? I'm so stressed out.
Each time I get through a new hurdle of some monstrous new process and weeks of back to back meetings, I get notified of something worse. And expectations for cost cuts with no defined process and several layers of teams that will turn the ideas down.
I feel like they are trying to break us.
All I'm seeing is panicking, fear, knee je-k reactions, finger pointing and extreme demands. Endless classes, requirements, special projects, release dates being pulled back, endless meetings and people in my group phoning it in while I'm being pushed over the edge.
I looked for jobs. Where are they??? If I do find anything remotely compatible with my interest, skills and experience, it pays 60% of what I'm making at GM. I feel trapped and abused.
Am I alone? Does this feel horrific to you too??? I've never seen anything close to this, even during the 'great recession'. What is the answer here?
PS With everything going on and the bad decisions from managers, it seems like GM is DOOMED.
Ibm laying off support center employees and sending jobs to Costa Rica
Some support center employees are being told to find another job. As many as 50 percent to 90 percent of those departments are being told this. By the way, those jobs are still needed, but now those jobs are being sent to Bulgaria and Costa Rica. Shouldn’t that be illegal?

Akamai lay off in US Mar 2019
In the name of focussing investment in new areas of business, Akamai eliminated 120 positions primarily in US. The real motive of the layoff was to move the jobs to low cost countries like India, Costa Rica and Poland. Akamai is still hiring and retaining workers in US on immigrant visa to depress the wages and laying off American citizens. Akamai has struggled to grow like other internet companies for several years. Where are those Democrats and Republicans in Government protecting American jobs?
Over 200 jobs being cut due to outsorcing
Yes, outsourcing 200+ jobs to Costa Rica, 225 to 250 or more will be affected.
I've heard this as well. It's been going around, so I am pretty sure it's no longer a rumor. What is still unknown is who and where exactly will be laid off. If anybody has any more info on this, please post here.
