How many will Dell add to the list?

Ensoma

Ensoma is halving its workforce after transitioning its genetic medicine program into clinical trials. The gmmg says the layoffs are meant to extend its cash runway. It's not looking good

One plus One = One

1 + 1 =1 With the recent reductions, the headcount will be replaced with Frontier workforce in the next three months. So the employee size of Vz will be very similar for the next year or two. Maybe, a few a Frontier’s leaders will become major Verizon executives. These types of reductions have been occurring with all major Verizon takeover transactions over the past decades.

Many H1B Visa holders will be in Limbo

Fiserv being heavily dependent on H1B visa holders.. the new rule taking out the auto-renewal of H1B effective October 30 2025 could impact the overall workforce seriously.

"The end of H-1B automatic renewal for those filing after October 30, 2025, creates uncertainty for H-1B holders, as their work authorization will cease on their current card's expiration date, potentially leading to unemployment gaps while waiting for USCIS to process their renewal. This change can jeopardize careers and financial stability for both the worker and their employer. This impacts not only H-1B visa holders but also their dependents (such as those on an H-4 visa) who hold work permits based on their dependent status. "

IBM Tried To Replace Its Workforce With AI But Hired More People Instead

With companies like IBM laying off thousands —
Microsoft laid off 9,000, Amazon ousted 14,000,
Accenture about 11,000 — it might be time to
seriously consider the future of this
displacement.
We won't be holding our breath.

Found this on the web...

The retail stores that are turning franchise are the following.

  • Under performing year over year (all metrics, not just growth)

  • overlapping/ redundant stores, including stores in congested markets (example, districts with stores within a 30 mile radius from each other)

  • locations with upcoming expiring leases

  • locations that have not been remodeled

  • Mall locations (all)

The cuts outside of stores closing will be support channels, R2B reps/managers, Sr operations analysts, training, director consolidation, sr director consolidation, market presidents and VPs and their support teams (executive assistants, etc.) Retail stores with 3 assistant managers.

1-N Ranking

That's how it was done people... someone up your chain had to do this.

"Give me a ranking of your employees."

Be prepared, some groups are going away entirely and some groups could lose 50% of the team.

"You have 10 people? Make it work with 5." -- Dan

People, sadly, it doesn't matter if you're an excellent employee with great reviews and work ethic. Dan has relegated people to simply being a number. X number of X are getting whacked. I wish I could say this wasn't true, but it is.

Your Management Knows

If they're telling you they don't know they're either lying or they're on the chopping block too. Calls will begin on Thursday (100% no doubt).

This is THE worst kept secret in Verizon... and elsewhere for that matter. Upper management is ticked off that this leaked. Honestly, what do you expect when you "whack and hack" 15% across the board without really knowing what you're doing?

I am feel sorry for those let go because the job market right now is just not great. There is life outside of Verizon, you may have to look for it ... for quite a while.

Good luck people...
