Hello Folks. The last round was just over on 10/23. The next round is fast approaching. Employment at ATT is like paying utility bills - it happens monthly and don't know the number (in this case employees impacted).

Sadly looks like more layoffs coming. Some Procurement and Customer Service roles will be going overseas. Also, more layouts in Sales. Moral is brutal at best and Sr. Leadership has a disconnect with their sales force.

Is it going to be calm for the rest of the year?

Any new information? Just seeing people vent (which is understandable). This is too big and widespread for nobody to know anything

2026 Q1 layoff list is being prepared.

Last one for this year - another 5 to 7k to Let go, Majorly in US, Silent announcement will follow in the next few Business Days = Thanks Giving Reward for the Employees (Rember next 2 to 3 years there will be a Huge Reorg is going to happen, that will be beyond what we have seen this year, this is just tip off the Ice berg)

What's happening in the rest of 2025? How about Q4? Any cuts planned?

I’m truly sorry for everyone who was laid off, it’s heartbreaking to see. But I can’t shake the feeling this may not be the end of it. I think it’s wise to stay alert and keep an eye out for other opportunities, just in case.

RIF coming soon and notifications will be on 10/23. Believe it will be 6% across the company and all departments will be impacted. Thanks for the usual early Christmas present, Verizon.

Anticipating layoffs for this long really does a number on your psyche. You can hate your job all you want, but most of us desperately need it right now. Have you seen the job market lately? Or the cost of everything going up? I’m extremely worried about what’s coming and painfully aware that our options are severely limited.

I started to hear rumors that an LR is in the works for 2HFY26. With the government shutdown, bookings could be soft. If there is a smoke, there is fire somewhere.

Who is trying to see if their manager will let it slip who is on the list? Me!

It’s been quiet. Probably another slow Peak? Then lay offs after the first of the year?

This is how I understand things will play out as well. If anyone can confirm, please do.

All of this is purely speculation, but given that remote workers are included in Phase 2, the coming layoffs will probably be related to other factors and not necessarily if you're remote or not. Then next year, you'll all be assigned a NY/LA office and you'll need to relocate by Q3, or else be let go.

It also talks about if there’s someone does similar tasks as you, your odds of being laid off is higher. Based on available data, it looks like there are a lot of redundancies in the risk and compliance space. Even though there’s a lot of regulatory hurdles USAA still have to deal with, but it seems like data suggests that the current structures are not effective.

When are the next business control layoffs?

So what’s next? All that news, all the upper echelon are being moved around. The ripple effect has just begun… anyone know anything else that will be announced this coming week? I still think those emails Friday were just the beginning.

I’d take it without a second thought. If what some people are saying is true, that voluntary packages have been offered to some recently, and that another big round of layoffs is coming by early 2026 the latest, I really hope they roll out a VP company-wide first. Why not? I’m sure plenty of people would take that option.

Looming layoff - copycat layoff in the offing mostly december 2025

I saw on amazon channel ppl saying 2 layoffs coming, one in october and one big one in january. It said mostly US employees will be impacted.

Everybody getting ready for the annual October layoffs? Not sure if it will be as big this year or not. Seems like they're gradually laying off people throughout the year versus a big October round, but maybe I'm wrong.

It's like sitting in a warzone, with stress all around you and knowing that a bo-b will drop on someone, hopefully it's not you. What a total moral ki-ler.

Clearly it’s the month to cut. Heard anything about the looming layoffs?

I've been told marketplace is the main target of the next wave...no specific depts just that area in general is the target.

It’s impossible to function normally when we don’t know what’s coming. Our livelihoods are on the line, and it’s a real a--hole move from leadership to keep us completely in the dark.

Are they gonna create a new list of people in Q4 ?

So when is the next layoff?

Layoffs run through Friday. Not in the clear just yet.

There’s talk about more coming on Monday, but who knows if it’s true. If anyone has solid info, please share. It’d help to know what we’re really walking into.

Any word on any further layoffs this year?

Layoffs already took place on 9/18, with more planned in 4–6 weeks and again in January—confirmed by someone in HR. The company is steadily offshoring more and more jobs from the US to India, unless a contractual agreement requires the role to remain in the US. For those not billing their time to projects, it’s only a matter of time. This organization is going downhill fast, and it’s disheartening. I honestly wish the government would step in—this is a US healthcare company, yet they’re outsourcing our jobs offshore to people who have no real investment here.
