So we all know Fido moves slowly but based on water cooler chats, the mind has been made up
They are just delaying the announcement until Q1 2026.
There's no Q1 planning for our team apparently this year so not sure what that means??

Any news on Q1 cuts, it seams real and coming soon...
who even gives a sh_t at this point? Just coast...
Fake news we don’t even have water coolers
You’re probably right about the delay, i think the way they handled the re-org in the first place had a similar effect around end of ~2019, a lot of people in AM were not happy with the new structure (slowly) coming, new titles and responsibilities started being rolled out for q1 2020.
Back then it was still PI and they had been operating in the Spotify model for a few years (even though Spotify itself had stopped using this model years prior) .. Before then, I never thought AM would go along with all the new roles etc. Such strong opinions and it almost a sore subject if brought up in convo about how PI was doing it.
Years later though, they all eventually had to change. & even then some groups resisted heavily until about 2 years ago i saw the roles actually being reflected in the system/linkedin titles. It’s as if the groups that resisted knew it was BS. The classic fid move to avoid a bad rep for layoffs down the line — either you make yourself fit or you cant/don’t want to based on their very vague categorizations. It’s a strategic push out, engineering dominated, intentionally frustrating/confusing the roles (or lets just say it, people) they want gone.
& before quarterly planning, groups still did big room planning there was just no formalized schedule that everyone was doing it at the same time. My guess is once the dust settles in Q1, you’ll likely go back to that with planning based on your groups own timeline — especially with the return of the delivery lead role.
