The same levy proposal failed to pass in November. LFA warns of staff layoffs and further service cuts if the levy does not pass.

The San Juan Unified School District board will discuss eliminating up to 320 full-time positions. The meeting will take place in Carmichael on Tuesday. The potential cuts are due to budget concerns. Positions include counselors, teachers, and instructional assistants. Some affected roles were funded by expired COVID-19 grants.

WGN TV laid off 8-9 on-air employees on Monday. This follows previous layoffs of behind-the-scenes staff. Parent company Nexstar is currently merging with Tegna. The cuts aim to reduce costs due to anticipated debt from the merger. Nexstar also carries debt from its 2019 Tribune Media acquisition.

Confirmed layoffs for San Antonio KYC, entire Small business KYC under Sharon is gone Wednesday march 4th it's about 40+ people. If your under her use your unplanned now. I'm positive there is other departments also being affected in San Antonio HQ but not sure where else.

Leaders are clueless. Everything is a priority as everyone needs to save themselves. No support from your supervisor. Only burnout remains with us. Layoff or rebadging dates are mystery.

The Ohio and Riverwoods based Discover Card Technology teams took a decent hit today. Sent them an email to join a meeting this morning and gave them the news, then said there would be a meeting later in the day with the severance details. It’s late in the day and still no details - lol. Class act!

The next round of layoffs is expected on April 7th, 2026. WARN letter in California states it will happen this day for Minimed folks. The rest of us are on notice. Expect layoffs every quarter folks. Are you on the bottom of the totem pole?

If I'm laid off, I have to deal with one of the worst job markets in a long while but at least there's severance to lessen the pain. If I'm not laid off but others on my team are, at least I'll still have a job but at what price? We'll be expected to pick up the extra work and I highly doubt we'll be getting any kind of extra compensation. And I'm overworked as it is. There's really no good option here.

Jelly Belly will lay off 69 employees at its Fairfield operations. These layoffs begin in June and affect corporate-commercial operations. Would appreciate any information someone can give me. I was unfortunately laid off; effective November 13, 2025. I remained employed past the September qualification date. My Severance agreement DID NOT state anything about receiving or not receiving an RRP. My question, is there someone here who has been laid off and told they would be receiving their RRP? I called the employee resource line and the rep seemed convinced that I should get it...just looking for another opinion... Thank you in advance
