I haven’t heard anything myself, but I’d really like to know if next week is going to be safe for all of us. I honestly just need a breather.

One way or another. This wait has been unbearable.

I am being told the announcement is week of Dec 1st. Potential reorganization.

If you’re a manager you have probably already been asked to provide numbers.

I expect at least a 10% cull across all/most teams in February before the end of year reviews.

Getting rid of many managers and collapsing them to ICs and creating teams with 1:20 or 1:25 even, was done to make it easier to give up headcount. It was always going to be the next phase. They are speeding up the next phases of cuts

If you are a full time H.R. and/or H.R. lead working mon-Fri. 7-3, 8-4, or 9-5. Your position is in danger of being eliminated by March 2026, just like the aforementioned post, a list is being compiled and that position is in great danger of being eliminated, and store managers will most like absorb those tasks.

If our manager was cut, does that put us at a higher risk of being laid off? I see people mentioning this but I have no idea what is true anymore.

Asking for sincere honest responses. What do you think your chances are that you, personally, will be laid off? I’m guessing mine are at least 70/30 I’ll be cut. That’s based on my organization, my age, my salary.

What is happening with this layoff cycle? Very highly skilled employees were gone. It feels this has become another Vmware.

It wouldn’t shock me at all if people got cut just days before either holiday, which would be the cruelest timing imaginable.

I was today years old when I learned there is such a thing as a layoff merch industry, and it's thriving. What the he-l? Why are people selling layoff shirts, jerseys, cups, and whatnot, and more importantly, why are people buying it? Somebody make it make sense, please.

Is this true? How confirmed is it? If true, this means VBG and VCG could be combined going back to 1.0

Just in case there’s some inside information that I’ve missed… I want to know if there’s any way to tell if my location’s going to be affected, and what patterns to look for. I haven’t been with the company very long. Not familiar with layoffs in general.

Does Wells wait until at least the first performance review or do they layoff even before that?

I'll ask again. Why did VZ publicly deny the layoff rumors and then days later leak the news and every source reports 15k job cuts?! Was this Franz's first task in office?

News just reported Verizon upped it to 20,000 jobs loss, I’ve also heard internally 30k.

I have a question, is engineering sc--wed(SWE)? At one of the main locations, recently got promoted, and am a bit worried. In early career, hired as a college grad.

Nobody knows anything. I'm not saying layoffs aren't happening but seems to me nobody has solid proof of what's actually happening on the 20th, if anything at all.

All these news articles are saying same thing word for word and it's all taken straight from this website. They have no reliable source.

My interpretation of the articles going around is that this is affecting “management” employees meaning HQ. Retail is its own thing and they are not categorized the same in the financials.

Retail moving to indirect and/or closing down will be its own thing.

These Value brands used to be their own business's and pay Verizon for “access”.

Nancy got moved to protect her nearly 40 year tenure.

Indirect dealers have been beefing up their operational staff with old Verizon execs.

Should be interesting next week.
