I was thinking about applying for a tech security position. Until I saw the hiring manager. I am familiar with her. There is no way that she knows anything about tech security... And, she's a director. Like, she's an 'expert' in the field. First... — read more
Colocation BS is back, new HR mandate
It seems the new HR is back with the hammer for colocation. Contractors, who were remote hired are supposed to be in office during connect week but the full timers in different region are told their position is moved to different region. You can't... — read more
No layoffs, just no benefits instead
There should have just been layoffs for underperformance. Hiring someone from McDonald’s, during the pandemic, and sending them back because they never break 30% kpis… just layoff people who don’t work. Why do I have to pay for it?!
Eager beaver and toxic manager posts
Is there a way to report such cases to anyone without any serious consequences??? It's frustrating how managers are blatantly using these tactics. I am in a similar situation where this new person who have no access to system whatsoever, is... — read more
Leading From the Floor vs. Leading From the Deck

What’s taking so long for the next layoff to happen?
Started working here during the pandemic. I remember the huge layoff back in 2024. Not really familiar with how Fidelity does layoffs. That being said, there’s (a lot of) talk about certain positions getting laid off. There’s been a few layoffs, but... — read more
What is the timeline to getting promoted once you are a level 5 or 6. Is it 1-2 years?
I see some people getting promoted rapidly within 1-2 years max and others still have the same title after 4-5 years.
Manager Toxic Tactics
So we have someone new joining our team and ever since they joined they have been on my a$$ to know how I do what I do. While I understand the enthusiasm, I feel my manager is purposely bringing such individuals in the team (the latest being the... — read more
Don't wait for a severance that might never come
Everyone needs to remember that severance pay is a gift, not a right. There's no law that forces a company to offer it when they let you go. If you're at Fidelity and waiting for a buyout package, you're gambling. You could end up in a crowded job... — read more
Fidelity the generous
Just submitted my charitable donation matching request to Fidelity Foundation and happy to see my humble donation to my cause was tripled! Yes, Fidelity match 200% of your charitable donation. 2025 was a good year for me, a foot soldier who worked... — read more
What’s going on with the Leap program?
Looks like at minimum, 2 Leap technical coaches were let go. As a former Leap Alumni, this is sad to see happen to the program that gave me my one way ticket into tech. Does anyone know what’s going on with the Leap program? Have Leap alumni... — read more
VBO - Back On The Table?
Head count reductions are coming. HR is looking at span of control again. This always leads to HC reductions. Last time they did this, they had the first VBO. I think the VBO will be offered again in 2026.
Jobs at Fidelity
I have applied over 90 roles at Fidelity, not a single call for interview and it comes back as they are moving forward with other candidates. If the company and specially hiring manager has someone in their circle or known group member to hire why... — read more
Office Capacity/Changes
We’re holding steady at every other week for connect weeks! Also, who else is incredibly thankful that Fido never required the ‘shot’ to keep employment?!? A true blessing!
Minimum effort policy
Fido has made it clear it will not go the extra mile for employees. Acting accordingly seems fair.
Special bonus criteria
What criteria was used to either give 3 weeks or 4 weeks special bonus?
CE & OSG into Fidelity Wealth?!?
So CE is merging along with OSG into Fidelity Wealth. What can a client facing rep in CE expect in Fidelity Wealth? I wonder if it will cause any RIFs? Any info appreciated.
"Special Holiday Bonus" - who got it?
I see an email for a special bonus of 3 to 4 weeks pay. Who got it? Did you get 3 or 4 weeks bonus pay?
People are running from Fido no matter the pay cut
Lately I keep seeing coworkers walk out for jobs that pay noticeably less (I guess this job market only allows for that), and that says everything about where things stand. The nonstop tension around layoffs has pushed people to a point where any... — read more
No base raise for "Agile Roles" in ET?
Squad leader here in ET. Good shares (>1000), Bonus (~100%) but zero raise. I was told "Abby mandated no base raise for agile roles in ET" but I'm not buying it. Any squad leads, scrum masters and chapter leads in ET can attest to the contrary?... — read more
Future of wealth
The Wealth business unit is rapidly declining in appeal. What is Bob's strategy to address this? Given the circumstances, is his expertise more aligned with business leadership or technical operations?
Contest
Anyone ever contested a year end performance rating and succeeded or it’s impossible? Eg u get IP and u think it should be an sp or sp when it should be ep
What is new title mapping old to new ?
Lot of people were notified of their new titles this week . What are new titles ?
Associate title
I hate that now everyone is an “associate” or a “leader”. Show me one manager that’s a “leader”, in my group and I’ll have a heart attack. Classifying everyone as manager and peasant is very blue collar of the firm.
IP here
My boss told me his manager put me on a IP. It started as SP-L but got downgraded to a full IP. The result is no raise and half the bonus. He doesn't have any specific critique, but said his boss wants me to be more visible and on camera in meetings. — read more
If the bonus funding is at 100% why is the % of funded bonus only 95%?
Trying to understand why my bond wasn’t 100%

G8 SLs days are numbered
What i can see is a systematic sidelining of squad leads across wealth and brokerage .The grade-8 SLs are on their way out. Squad leads are treated par with scrum masters.
Why does AJ have 87 approval rating on Glassdoor?
Or more importantly, how?? Do so many people truly think she's doing a good job? I'm just as shocked at the 4.1 overall stars. I didn't think I was the minority in my opinion of this place, but looks like I was wrong.
Reading a ghosting post made me wonder, why did Fidelity ghost me?

New hires getting ghosted
Two people who were supposed to join our team had their start dates pushed back indefinitely. Everyone knows what that means, even if HR uses soft language. It is a bad sign when even onboarding becomes uncertain.
Dynamic Schedules
When will they release the Dynamic Week schedule for March and onwards? Any rumors of any big changes? 900 bldg in SMT is a sh*t show!
Rating is a scam
No difference between SP and EP really. Got EP this year and received same number of shares, bonus is an extra 1k and pay increase extra 1 %. Cr-p!
Auto shares
Which do people start to get shares automatically? Is it level7?
So disappointed
Last year I got a bigger raise compared to this year even though my rating was MUCH MUCH BETTER. Does anyone know how the raise works here? What's the point of being a high performer if it doesn't translate to money?? When will Fido realize... — read more
What were your pay increases like?
Me and some peers I talked to in wealth got no pay raises because of the pending changes and role clarification. I feel like they’re signaling a lay off by giving no raises. Got decent bonuses and shares though
