Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

This is toxic

So I just got off a 1:1 with my manager and it was just the quarterly check-in, thinking it will be for the worse. The past few days were filled with anxiety with the rumors and the posts on this site. I think on a mental standpoint I'm done reading these comments and posts. Not to say that it may or may not happen and I do relate to those affected. For those who are worried and anxious these are just rumors. Take care of yourself.

If you received your QCI after Tuesday, then you are most likely safe. The instructions were to not have QCI conversations this week with associates being let go.

For folks that received QCIs last week, it could go either way.

Trying to predict when/if you’ll be laid off is always going to be hard. But yeah a lot of folks here are going to stoke the flames rather than just give real warnings.

I was told by a VP that even senior leaders are in the dark and nobody knows anything for sure yet

There really won’t be that many cut. Expecting to be laid off for the vast majority is completely pointless.

If you’re good at your job, and not in tech or something like an agile coach that isn’t a thing anymore, sleep like a baby.
