I hope it’s really, really over today and no more roles are cut. Has anyone heard otherwise, though?

Was shocked to learn in some areas, the person running the layoff call was not from hr, but a Director forced to hold the call. Didn't even know who or how many laid off.

Any ideas why there's no coverage in the US? This seems like a giant event and this site is the top hit on Google? Leadership has been so incompetent and the one thing they get right is how to keep this from getting a Linkedin article?

Why do they act like layoffs are a random process? Do you genuinely believe it's random, or is there a systematic assessment of cost vs. benefits?

Based on Slack numbers we're down like 450 or something actives, beginning with around 26,000-something. I guess maybe the 20% is over the course of a couple years but IDK

Some people have heard that these layoffs will continue all week, while others are hearing it will be fully finalised by COB today. Thoughts?

Anyone from Sweden impacted by layoffs?

I’m in the US and new at PayPal. What is the process followed by HR? Does the person affected being laid off get the meeting invite? How does the rest of the team or manager find out who has been let go from their team?

Heard from someone it will be all week which is so brutal. What a nightmare of a company. I’m sure I. Cruz over HR is sleeping just fine though.

Anyone who got impacted can you please share what are they saying in the meetings. On what basis this is being done or how long it will continue? Also which levels and orgs are impacts?

I just want it to be over with. The stress of waiting is one of the worst feelings. Time to leave it behind us.
