Due to the current economic climate and the future efficiency of AI all major companies are making cuts to keep up with the rising costs to do business. Even if AI isn't a realistic strategy companies are all in because the potential is too great to ignore. Vote for leadership not party affiliation. We are experiencing the impacts of almost 10 years of horrible leadership decisions at the top that trickle down to companies across America.

Verizon Liquidation
The new CEO is basically coming in to cut and slash Verizon into a cheaper bootleg version of its self. No one cares about network quality it’s all the same. Verizon is only going to win if they lower prices not add fees. In order to do that it’s going to require major cuts to its work force. If you are in a nice cushion job getting paid big bucks for doing nothing you will soon be sliced.
Trane 10/2025 Layoff Severance
I've heard 4 wks per year.
Skyworks Solutions–Qorvo Deal Recasts RF Leader With $500M Synergy Target
This mean layoff will be finished in 3 years . Better run now until is too late
When Skyworks do the layoff , only have 2 weeks compensation. They will not count
how many years you work for Qorvo for compensation .
CMO Cut Today- Other too?
Confirmed with a co-worker that came from a meeting just now that the CMO was cut today (Sashi M). Some people will say this is good, others will say this is bad. Simply calling it out as there was more layoffs today. Not sure if it was just him or if there was additional leaders but more people are gone.

T. Rowe is leading the layoff list today
CVE gifts assets to Strathcona to Buy their vote
Even the market is calling CVE on their desperation to acquire MEG. Can this company do anything right? They overpay and undersell. Do they actively try to lose $$$. No wonder their stock price can’t creep higher than $25. Forever the bottom feeder in the E&P space.
Thanks-RIFing

Do not expect severance packages to be as generous as before.
Layoff News for 2025/2026
Anyone heard any news of planned layoffs for the rest of this year or next year?
The extractive model can only go so far
You can’t raise fees forever, and you can’t keep cutting people indefinitely. At some point you either build a sound business, or everything eventually falls apart.
More coming over next two weeks
Other functions cutting next week and the following week. Good luck all!
Some teams got gutted. Again.
I get the feeling that whoever’s making these layoff decisions is just incredibly lazy. Cutting by numbers without any deeper thought, let alone real strategy. My team hasn’t had some roles backfilled since forever, and you can definitely feel it in our performance and workload. I think the company loses far more than it gains by letting people go. Layoffs have turned into nothing more than a performative exercise to prop up the stock.
Earth's Best Layoffs
2022: 10000 (3%)
2023: 17000 (5%)
2025: 14000 (4%)
69000 (20%)
Nice.
Cuts all around
Some of these numbers are honestly shocking. I figured we’d be near the top of the list, but we’re not even close compared to a few others. Either way, it’s not a good sign for the job market.

Will bonuses get paid out this fiscal year?
Long story short, I'm an L4 - Community, Gender-Expansive, Kinship - Analyst. Thankfully, I survived the blood bath and still have my job.
Does anyone know what the implications are for the bonuses? Are we still going to get the full amount or are they cutting that too?
Thanks!
One week until cuts
Starts in November. Best of luck everyone. It's tough out there.

Quick MSD, you don't want to be the uncool kid
Amazon plans to cut 30,000 corporate jobs in response to pandemic overhiring https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2025/oct/27/amazon-corporate-jobs-cuts
How soon will Dell use this excuse?
This is not going to stop here
Let’s be honest. They don’t care about quality or people, only about cutting costs. If they can outsource us all, they will. The work will definitely suffer, but that won’t matter to them. As long as the numbers look good on paper, they’ll call it a success. That’s the sad truth of where we are now.
It's happening - Monday 10/27
Already hearing folks getting let go. Good luck to us all.
What is the biggest layoff month ?
Seemed kind of quiet the past few layoffs- is there a certain month that typically is the highest month for layoffs ?
It feels right to shake up CBG
It’s been a few months since the last one and the holidays are coming. Wait they did shake up a few of the incompetent last week!
UofL does layoffs
Some folks got laid off about a month ago, more to come
Officer Adjustments
Anyone know if officers were able to review and adjust who is impacted? I would assume that’s the lowest level that could have provided guidance. It’s hard to imagine cuts being done without some level of direct knowledge.
WFA and Volunteering cut
At least for UK staff, WFA days cut from 10 to 8 and volunteering days cut from 3 to 1.

What will he do when there is no one left to fire?
Ah, silly me. That means it is acquisition time!
Layoff/RIFs today
Looks like a couple people are being trimmed from most teams across multiple office locations. Charlotte, Saint Louis, Denver, Stamford. This just came out of nowhere. No severance offered to the people I've talked to who were randomly fired either.
St. Louis, Missouri - T&C NOC Layoffs Happening Now
Town and Country Network Operations Center is seeing layoffs as of this morning, no word yet of how many. The Maryland Heights office had at least 9 layoffs
Rumours of Next Layoff?
Anyone or insiders hearing anything about another round of layoffs? Word going around is that more cuts could be coming soon, possibly linked to the recent divestitures and leadership changes. I’ve heard talk that Sales, Marketing, and Engineering might be hit again, especially non core or lower performing roles. Curious if anyone’s heard when this might happen or which groups are actually at risk.
Way too many layers of people adding no value
Half the company could disappear tomorrow if we just removed everyone who only goes to meetings and relays updates. Let the ones who actually do the work run things for a change.
"Allen & Two Temps" used to be the joke...
...when AT&T was cutting cutting cutting and people said "That's what "AT&T" now stands for." We've come a long way, huh?
