I've been thinking about leaving for a while

Then I did some research. I looked at every company in our industry that I might apply to and I found they all have the same problems we do. Same complaints on the forums, same issues with management, and same uncertainty. So what's the point? I'd be jumping from one sinking ship to another. For now, I'm staying with what I know.

Don't count on a future at PepsiCo

If you're smart, you should have been actively looking and applying for a job from the start of the year, if not sooner. No one is safe here, and I think that's been blatantly telegraphed for a while now. This is not the same company I joined 15 years ago, that's for sure.

New Fiscal Year

Friends, I've been at ADP for about 20 years. I've noticed that the most common time for them to do layoffs is the last two weeks of June (right before the start of the new fiscal year). So if we make to July 1, we're probably ok, at least for a little while.

US Jobless Claims Fall, Labor Market Shows Strength

Initial unemployment claims in the US fell. This signals that layoffs remain low despite economic uncertainty. Employers continue retaining workers due to skilled labor shortages. The Federal Reserve monitors this employment data. Consistent employment aids consumer spending and economic growth.

Gaming Industry Faces Broad Layoff Wave

The gaming sector anticipates widespread staff reductions. Bungie may cut up to 400 employees due to project issues and investor pressure. Quantic Dream also faces potential cuts of around 115 staff after publishing failures. Reports suggest id Software, Bethesda, and BioWare are also at risk. High development costs and project portfolio reviews contribute to industry instability.

“ American Telephone and Telegraph “ 🇺🇸

The only thing “American” about the company is the name, because it sure does seem they wanna replace everyone with foreign H1B temps, offshoring outsourcing and Indian contractors. What a complete joke, just change the name to India telecom already 🇮🇳. As we lose our jobs make sure to DUMP their services

Pushing out Behavior Health License holders?

I've heard there are some teams and people with various BH licenses not being allowed to make calls and do their role "while they look into it". Supposedly someone noticed something and now they are questioning if they are even allowed to make the outreaches. The timing is fishy. Anyone else heard this or having the experience? I don't feel secure in my role at all.

The global video game industry has recorded around 3,700 verified job losses in 2026. Total cuts likely exceed 4,000 when unverified reductions are included. The United States accounts for most layoffs, with Epic Games cutting about 1,000 roles. Bungie announced plans to lay off roughly 400 people. Admins at Centene?

How likely is it that they eliminate administrative staff? On the one hand, they wouldn't function well without us, on the other hand they constantly underestimate how much operational impact we have. I'm just getting tired of worrying about job stability every couple of years. Maybe it's time to take the exit. IDK...

Is it legal??!!

From HR here
And shocked with my recent experience.
Had an opening which is not a Visa sponsorship position.
Hiring manager was so mad and ended up convincing his LL4 and my boss and changed to Visa sponsorship. His LL4 and My leadership is also Indian.
Later he confessed to me saying his cousins badly need a Job who is on OPT Visa and has only 30 days, else she have to go back to India..
He even modified the resume to match the Job description..unfortunately HR hands are tight with this as no substantial evidence (except 2 different resumes)

Centene Layoffs

I am fairly young and beginning my career, I’ve been with centene for 6 years and my VSP contract is not bad. I’m contemplating taking it and walking away but my only concern is that they do not even release my department. I have been through years of “we are rebuilding” and multiple job layoff scares. I have no idea what to do and it’s driving me crazy everyday since London crusty a-s sent that email.

Need advice as a new Centene employee

I just started a couple months ago. I love my job, coworkers, and even my boss. I finally enjoy what I do at work but then this happens. I could have an option to work as an apartment manager but I would probably have to leave before August. Is it worth staying? I would hate being an apartment manager but seeing how my last job ended with a layoff I saw recently how horrible the job market is.
