without being laid off does that mean I’m safe for the time being?

It’s likely a small percentage being impacted. There’ll be a lot of rumors and hearsay on here. Hopefully it’s just been a lot of bad rumors.

There was a manager in my group who was about to get fired because of how toxic she was. But then had a minor injury and just kept playing up for almost a full year. If she is let go, that would be the best kind of karma.

Asked my manager straight if I am part of the layoffs. He seemed to be unaware and pretended that he didn’t know much. Either he’s on the chopping block with me or is playing d-mb. I do see a 15 min slot booked on his caleder tomorrow at 9:30. 😂

Does the manager need to be in the off ice when they setup zoom calls with their team members to let them go? Was this covered in the training this AM?

Just talked to some people in Wealth FIG chapter. They are L5 and above. They got the news today. They are randomly announcing it.

My manager is visibly silent, the mood in rest of the group seems better though. He seems more quiet, non participating in discussions. Anyone else confirm with their manager?

If the rumors are true, 90% of us will not be impacted at all. That means entire BUs will not be touched. 10% doesn’t really match Abby’s leadership style. Life will go on, this company isn’t what it used to be.
