Saw it here and heard from a few people, though none exactly plugged into decision-making. If anyone has something solid, please share.

We get a schedule every six months but nobody ever says it’s set in stone, so the bosses can change stuff whenever they feel like it. That makes it really hard to know what to work on or even plan anything outside of work. The “perks” and rules keep getting moved around too, and it just feels like nothing is solid. I think we need a clear time slot that stays the same and a simple way to tell us when things actually change.

When will the next action take place and what will it be?

Will there be a lot more reorgs this year?

Will future severance payouts be impacted? Will it be less?

That would be the only good thing about it.

I prefer when there are rumors going around than the complete quiet on layoffs. Makes me think we're about to be hit by a major storm. I hope I'm wrong, but with everything happening in the entire industry, I wouldn't be surprised if major cost cutting is in our near future.

Does anyone have any genuine insights into whether or not the second round of layoffs will still be happening soon? Or could they be on hold for now until the WB merger is finalised? Doesn’t look like convergence will be ready as planned either.

You might think your group is safe. You might have been told the cuts are done. Don't believe it. Stay prepared. Getting blindsided is way worse than expecting it and being wrong.

I was talking to a friend the other day and he said he always knows layoffs are coming at his company because managers basically go missing for weeks and routine meetings get canceled. Do we have something that? Has anybody noticed any similar or different clear signs layoffs are coming at Verizon?

Nothing going on where I am. Based on the little info trickling in, seems like quiet layoffs this time. Not minimizing how awful it is for anyone impacted, just saying this round feels completely different from the last ones.

It feels like we are all just waiting for the next announcement, and the silence is not exactly reassuring.

I expected store closings, but I have to admit I was hoping corporate would be spared. Still, with the state of Pap Johns right now, it shouldn't be surprising to anybody. I'm just worried that this might be the start of something much bigger. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

It's been relentless, too much stress for way too long. At this rate, we'll all be wrecked by the time it's done. I wish they'd just ripped the bandage off in one go. Finding out bad news immediately hurts less than endless uncertainty. My heart goes out to the Blaine people, but at least they have answers. I truly wish them the best of luck finding good jobs.

I hope those who want out get the news they're waiting for, and those who need to stay get overlooked. I'm in the second group, so it's going to be a rough night.

Is town hall related to meetings intimating layoff

It's really hard to feel settled at Gainwell anymore. Nobody talks about long term plans like they used to. It's all about how we'll make it to the next month. It's exhausting, to be honest.

What did I miss?

Key people keep leaving or getting shown the door all the time. Morale is in the gutter and the energy here is completely dead. You can feel it walking in every morning. Nobody trusts that things will be stable from one week to the next, not to mention month or year.
