Why is Wells Fargo only taking applications by email for this "senior" engineer position that only requires 2-4 years of experience?

So, since around Dan's epic 3Q webcast (where he actually didn't even discuss 3Q), the only positions posted have been retail, and maybe just a couple random others.

I realize there's a freeze and likely the reason, but I'm still surprised to see they've stopped posting for our international territories, also

The other thing is some people here are talking about retail getting axed, but given there's about 20 retail job postings each day, I think that's pretty far off.

There seem to be plenty of openings, though I have heard that a lot of them are just placeholders. I plan to keep doing this every weekend until something finally lands, however long it takes.

Does BofA have these roles? How much does it pay?

Just for kicks I looked at the Cisco jobs site. There are zero openings anywhere. Is the tool broken or did they eliminate all hiring?

Why do they post positions internally and also on their public job openings page of their website, yet when you apply, you ultimately get an email response that says "We're sorry but the position you have applied for no longer exists". This message comes anywhere from the next day to a couple of weeks later, yet the position is STILL posted and able to be applied for on their public job postings page of their website. Why the lie???

After the DOJ encouraged people to report employers who were targeting foreign employees Lenovo took down many job postings for visa holders only. I remember seeing many posts where you couldn’t click apply because they were reserved for foreign workers. Also at the building 8 entrance in RTP they would print and tape jobs that were for foreign workers only on the door.

I see it is encouraged to limit the number of internal job application to 5. Anyone knows what will happen if I am applying for more than 5 positions at the same time?

I have noticed a lot of internal positions available opposed to external positions. Anyone have any insight on this? Is there a hiring freeze for external candidates? Also this pertains to US candidates
