What's up with the recruiters asking for a passport in an interview?

linkedin is fu--ing broken. msft bought it and the whole thing changed.

too many ghost jobs. they sit for months.

companies want free publicity, they dont lie about it. some post just to meet federal rules.

outsiders won’t get those roles.

the rest are fu--ing sketchy. resume scrapers and offshore shops, just stealing data. they want contacts and h1-b angles. applicants send hundreds of resumes. almost no replies.

it's all now just about ads, not doing matches and u dont stand a chance there.

drifted away.... soooo frustrated. nothing feels seperate from the grift.

Does Verint still get used to monitor employees? If so, is that for everybody or just certain roles and areas?

I see it running on my laptop. But it’s never been brought up to me before in any discussions. Just curious.

An article on the Entrepreneur site states for JP Morgan staff wanting to access their new $3B headquarters building, they will need to provide their biometric data.

Considering how much of a crush RK has on JP Morgan's CEO, Stifel should be breaking ground on a new headquarters soon that can only be accessed with biometrics.

I know they are tracking work computers in the office. What about personal devices? Can I take a call in the office when I’m in the bathroom? Will this count as activity? Will my score go up or down if I flush? Can they track how many minutes I’m in there via my IP?

Has everyone seen this? Georgia and Gainwell announced a data breach this week, that supposedly happened in July. This has got to be someone in India getting access and login information, doesn't it? I don't believe the information about the phone call.

One time I was given an 'anonymous' survey about job satisfaction at work, and wrote in one comment 'I don't think its fair to tell employees their responses are anonymous when they're not' and I was called into a meeting with HR where they assured me my results were 100% anonymous. They even showed me a printed out version with my name and comment on it.

It says the data is aggregated and anonymous but doing some reading about it makes me skeptical that it's actually anonymous and that I won't be punished for having some negative things to say about the direction we are going and how much I trust management.

Is AT&T going to be sued and fined for neglecting its users' private data? Or is it going to settle to pay out compensations to numerous users again, like it recently did?

This could very well happen, if another AT&T breach occurs – and SOCRadar's Dark Web Team has come across a new listing on the dark web that advertises what is described as unauthorized access to AT&T's internal systems.

SOCRadar’s Dark Web Team has identified a new wave of underground activity involving high-value exploits, access, and data leaks. Threat actors are advertising an alleged Android 0-day affecting versions 11 through 15, persistent unauthorized access to AT&T’s core infrastructure, and a dump of over 100,000 credit cards from multiple countries. Additionally, a new scam page targeting Ledger wallet users has been leaked, suggesting broader phishing campaigns targeting the crypto community.

I noticed in the grand new update they just released one of the programs newly installed is Impero Connect Host. This means they can monitor your screens in real time without notifying you.

Sometime in 2020 with pandemic closures, the company installed monitoring applications on laptops that randomly captures screenshots and reported meta information. Then came tracking the badge swipes at doors to ensure that all employees ordered to return to the office, did so and did so on time. IT can report how long you spend on Zoom calls, emails, spreadsheets, salesforce or if you’ve got blank space in your calendar. They’ve reportedly started tracking mobile phone location data for all employees- including once exempt sales and admin staff. If you have a company phone, and don’t live in Cali, you are now most likely in the surveillance crosshairs. Enjoy eating lunch or leaving at 5:01 pm knowing that your location is being watched.
