It'll happen when it happens
Every day there's somebody saying it's happening tomorrow. Until we have official word, stop worrying and get to looking for something else. Whether you're laid off or not this round, there's always going to be the next one. The only useful thing to do right now is be proactive in your job search. That's it.
All DC leaders should be fired in next layoff
Politics over work
Preferences over people
Too much favorism
Such mind set allowed to grow Arista
All DC leaders should be fired in next layoff
Another victim to layoffs
Amazon Games is winding down support for New World: Aeternum amid layoffs in the division and even deeper job cuts across its parent company. The game debuted on PC in 2021 and it landed on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S just over a year ago.

10/30/25 COLLINS LAY OFF
Reddit Collins/RTX laying off all over the place different states. Whole engineering teams gone.
We lost two more people
Every fu--ing round we lose more people and the rest of us are left scrambling how to the work without them. Well I'm done. Fire me if you won't, I'm not picking up any more work. Not a single thing is getting added to my plate this time. In all honesty, now I wish I was laid off. Who knows, maybe there's still time.
Many Being Laid off Today from Optum
If you go over to the Optum Layoff threads you will see that many are being notified today for layoff and as to their last day, which appears to be in January.
Not me but one poster over there posted the following, which I thought was interesting and seems to sound very familiar.

"We already have openings in India to replace people we let go from our team today. This is offshoring." -- This is true and will continue because all at the top has their own bottom line at the expense of employees here is USA, unless government put some check balances these greedy corporate will not stop.“
I bet Prime Minister Narendra Modi is rubbing his hands together regarding all the money his government will take in from American Health Insurance companies. And I know from research that India does a lot of trade with Russia. And a lot of Indian workers work in Arab countries that hate Americans.
PBEs laid off
For any of the PBEs that were laid off yesterday, can you share what your pay out is, if any at all? I believe staff is given severance and WARN if they qualify, but I am curious to know if non-renewed contracts are a potential loophole that they are taking to not pay out these employees.
Lumen Layoffs today 10-30-25
Massive layoffs just started this morning.
Buckle Up, Bi--hes!
Just got the word that it’s coming soon. Strap in (or strap on if you work in ops) and get ready for the show. Gonna be the largest slice and dice since covid. God speed.
Town Hall Recap
Doing more with less was the theme. Even though there has been revenue and profit growth every quarter they expect more restructuring for layoffs in the US. Budgets will still be tight. They will be focusing on hiring more in call center work in Mexico. US panel jobs will start to be consolidated. Self install pilot has
been approved to move forward. Call center team had concerns about capped bonus and quality. Overall expect more call center and remote work and less in field work into 2026.
Many nurses and APPs
Many nurses and APPs in NYS laid off effective 1/8/25
Layoffs in CSO
Heard about surplus within the org from old coworker. I believe all impacted individuals have been notified. Sorry to everyone impacted, wanted to share.
More Reorg to come
The market expects almost doubled Earnings from Oracle, putting intense pressure on the company to deliver rapid growth and justify these numbers.
Leaders/Engineers with stock holdings will be trimmed more.
Due to the company's high profitability, there's a low need for massive layoffs. instead, expect targeted layoffs (mostly performance-related) , hiring freeze, project cutdowns and more reorg.
Oracle is safe till next 3-4m to stay for sure but pressure will mount. Leaders will face more problem to deliver with less salary to employees and more mounting pressure.
New email about international strategy
New email from Tina Wilson, did anybody understand? Is it over for all other countries?
When will they close them?
More layoffs - here we go again….
Let us know how you and your team are impacted.
Ford BOSK layoffs
Not a great news for this new plant in KY.
International
All the best to the valued colleagues who have been laid off. Good luck. It's International's turn now.
Given that in many countries layoffs must be communicated a month in advance, when can we expect them? Any date? Thank you very much.
Swing and a miss... Really...
This really says it all right here:
we effectively managed Adjusted selling and administrative expenses, offset by softer Insight Core services and hardware performance
Basically they fired more people to try and turn the sinking ship around as it is their only lever to pull when you can't get KrustyBurger to deliver on numbers. You can see in the numbers just how much they are spending in offshoring in EMEA as well as continued offshoring in the US. Buckle up kids, looks like this is the new Insight, slash and burn your way to profit! Keep your heads down and hope that your teammates don't turn on you so that you get tagged in the next on-going episode of "RIF or Sink", coming to you on a major network soon!
Another leadership change
Dave Watson is stepping down (yay!) and will become vice chairman.
Steve Croney (why?) is replacing Dave Watson.
Pretty sure if you want to change the trajectory of the company, stop hemorrhaging subscribers, and increase revenue, you shouldn’t promote someone who has been a leader during the hardship times.
Guess more layoffs beyond the latest announcement is in our future for 2026.
10/30 master thread
Lots of rumors around today. Can we use this thread for updates?
where any H1Bs let go in your group?
None of the H1Bs were fired in my group, how about your group.
sure seems like companies should layoff the H1Bs before US citizens, for a US based company.
To my Paramount family
Just wanted to leave a note as this chapter at Paramount wraps up for me. What a wild ride it’s been an absolute privilege to share the chaos, creativity, and caffeine with this team.
I’m so proud of what we built together, the impossible deadlines we somehow pulled off. And even when things went sideways, we learned, laughed, and rolled with it.
It’s rare to find a team that makes the hard days lighter and the good days even better. I’ll carry these memories and probably too many Slack screenshots with me wherever I go next.
To my Paramount family: thanks for the madness, the magic, and everything in between. Keep making amazing stuff, and keep taking care of each other. 💙
16000 more layoffs
But after Halloween. Too scary.
Was security in Irvine impacted
Just curious if cyber security was impacted in Irvine ca
Layoff on Maternity Leave
Did anyone else get laid off while on maternity leave? Do you know how it’s impacted?
HR was no help in getting clarity before I lost access to my email, etc. on Tuesday. I’ve only been on leave for 3 weeks, so not sure if there are legal obligations for Target to fulfill my full approved leave or if it can just end.
Curious if others in a similar situation have heard more on it.
Intel should learn from Amazon
No one was expecting the Amazon layoff. It gets reported by Reuters on Monday. On Tuesday Amazon completes the layoff of 14K employees. It is over and done. The workforce can move on. Way better than the Intel method of announcing the layoffs before they are even planned, the workforce agonizes for 6 months, and then they take 3 months to finally get it over.
Is this it for the year?
Are we done with layoffs at least until 2026?
I don't feel safe
Yes, I survived this round but I think we all know this is far from over. I'm supposed to feel relief, but here I am, already thinking about the next round and still unable to sleep. All I know is that I'll double my efforts to find something else, because this is not healthy in any way, shape, or form.
Collab update
It sounds like the VP gave some pretty blunt advice regarding career progression for first-level managers. If the manager doesn't transition to an IC, they might be at risk of getting a pink slip
Voluntary Layoffs an option?
I don’t think that this is the end of the layoffs and I don’t want to stick around and be exploited by taking on the workload of the people who were laid off while having to fake being grateful about it. I want to know if it’s feasible to ask HR if they’ll let me volunteer to be laid off since they need to cut costs and I want a severance package exit.
Planning to give my notice
I can’t live in fear till January and work like a dog every day. Sick and tired of training TII knowing that they will take my job.
We can’t f*cking accelerate if half my team including some high performers are laid off (probably because they were remote)
If I make it beyond April, there is no way I will get more than 50% of bonus and 2% hike in salary.
And this is not the Target I know for the last 15 years. We neither caring, nor growing and definitely not winning. Our culture is a sham.
Most of these people were let go
https://corporate.target.com/careers/culture
The finance guy will be working us to our bones and then lay us off after peak.
Additional layoffs today
Did anyone else had additional layoffs this week in charter ?
Do you know people that got laid off ⬆️ or more that retired ⬇️ from Micron
Vote
⬆️ If you can name more Micron layoff victims.
⬇️ If you can name more Micron Retirees (A true retirement, not left to work elsewhere)
Wellmed layoffs 10/30
Specific thread for 10/30 RIF at Wellmed. Comment if you know what departments will be impacted and where?
Business is Business
First, I am sad to hear about the extensive layoffs at Target.
After reading these posts it seems like half your company walks around with rainbow mohawks. If you would just concentrate on selling what people want in a clean store you should be able to stomp Walmart, but no... you had to try and be a DEI/social justice warrior. It feels like you are going to get robbed just walking into Walmart (some literally have police presence 24/7), and people are choosing that over your stores - let that sink in. Please please please get back to core business, I am rooting for you believe it or not.
USD, USND, CDM or whatever they call themselves
How have they not been impacted? The dead weight there is next level. Starting with DD. Or did I miss the news?
Target Does Not Care
Your leader knew and did not tell you sooner.
The person who shook your hand and smiled at you in the elevator knew and didnt tell you sooner.
The Meetings you were not invited to was not coincidence but deliberate.
The Conference you went to and your Sr. Leader said your jobs were safe... lied to you.
Those friends that say they will keep in touch, soon will fade. Remember this for you are even in this situation again you will be able to read the signs sooner.
