Long standing BNY employee here with unvested RSUs maturing over 4 years running into $200K.
Now concerned that my time is up. Is there any truth to the rumor that they are canceling RSUs if you are fired?

Any insight to rifs being talked about on Dec 16 or Dec 18? What parts of wellmed will be affected?
Title. Drop deets if you have any.
Found a management person was having an affair. I never said a word till now. But did my accidental discovery cause my layoff?
I am only a few months into my time here, and it is already sinking in that layoffs might be part of the landscape here, which has me more on edge than I expected to be so early into a new role. I am trying to get a sense of whether this is something people constantly brace for or if it is one of those things that happens in waves and then quiets down for a long stretch. I would like to know whether I should settle in and feel secure or keep my guard up because of the way things have been going lately.
Good luck to everyone at WellMed who’s hoping that the axe doesn’t fall on them this week. Thought I’d raise the Festivis pole for an airing of the grievances or a place to drop the dread we’re all feeling!
Wonder if the clowns are planning a Christmas layoff?
Better start looking for another way out.
What is the estimated or projected number of lay offs for 2026?
Starting to feel like we're in a quiet period before big changes, which always include layoffs.
Per a friend who works there , the CEO shared this week at an employee all hands that T-Mobile employees can expect a big layoff in Q1. No number given but rumor is that it will be a 30% reduction.
If you are looking for something new, maybe avoid T-Mobile.
I am hearing VZB tech layoff is April 26!
Ho ho ho!!!
Rumor is they'll cut deep, hard and fast in the failing Model E segment
Heard there were calls today and some scheduled for tomorrow. Maybe just maybe we will find something out after a week of wondering. Who thinks this sh— up.
Srini made it clear that a massive layoff is coming in Q1. There is no respect for any of us. I’d be willing to bet that the layoff will happen before the end of February to avoid a bonus or stock payout.
Update your resumes start looking now and go out on your terms, not theirs.
None of those senior leaders are sitting up on that stage give a flying F about any of us.
Q1 layoff means that some of you will be training the interns that will be your replacement replacements.
We've heard the news we need to shed from 130k employees to 100k. But now we're hearing shedding 50%, by end of 2028. Anyone else hearing something?
Been hearing 12/24 as another possible LAYOFF date. Just wanted to make sure you all were aware. Got the news from my reliable source today, citing increasing market turmoil and the crash that is about to start.
Good luck everyone!
Expect to see the recently reported forever layoff model. This is a persistent, all year method for layoffs where they happen in artisanal small batch format to prevent investors from getting alarmed.
Large companies do the showy layoff where they announce large layoffs then hire the same or greater number with h1b or offshore. Thus keeping the same headcount to keep from alarming investors.
I could not listen to the call with MA yesterday. Did he talk about layoffs in his board area?
I had heard months ago that the cadence of layoffs would be October and then January. Anyone have insights on the January layoffs? Maybe a quieter trim? I imagine it will be smaller. I don’t think we are “winning” the holiday.
This is a theory. They implemented this new bag check policy the same week that DM's emphasized on the weekly conference call how SM's have to be working 8-5 (no matter your store hours) while also emphasizing how they're tracking bags checks full force. I'm curious if the bag checks are actually being implemented to track what time the SM's are leaving their shifts. This would give corporate leadership the advantage to make ER easily give the OK to terminate SM's after the holiday to avoid severance for (theory) layoffs after R2R. Just a theory. What are your thoughts?
We know so little about what’s actually happening. The rumors are endless, and I’ve heard from several people that most cuts will wrap up by Friday, with a few lingering into Monday. But I honestly have no idea if that’s true.
Are layoffs happening that week?
Heard some layoffs happened at SRO. What happened?
Are we gonna have lay off on December12?
Rumors on confirmed?
Seems like the rumor is coming true

Anyone have credible information or evidence that a layoff will happen? Please no, “Wayfair will always lay off” post with no evidence. I am trying to piece together real evidence to see if a real one will happen soon
I am miserable in my new role, the new office environment, and the new (poor) attitude that seems to come from every senior manager. I'm planning to quit, but if the next layoff isn't too far off it may be smarter for me to wait. Does anyone have reliable information as to when the next one might be?
do a a quick google search, multiple articles released today. Feels like they are easing into what’s to come.
Who was laid off today? Which teams? Sales, warehouse closures, or corporate teams? I heard S&T is still afloat.
More layoffs are coming around the mountain.
Happy Holidays
Good luck to all!
I keep hearing December 18th as a date for consumer group. Directors have a PTO block after , probably to do damage control. Also expenses need approved by that date. Anyone hear anything more concrete?
What about us lowly folks? Any idea which teams are at risk?
If you’ve heard anything, please share.
Commercial team today (immediate). Field sales teams tomorrow (future state). Need to right-size for the future. Q2 1NA launch on a large scale.
