Pay review

Laat year we were promised a pay review every year at end of Q2, start of Q3. Although its just a review and at the end they can say they reviewed and we get nothing I wonder if they will honour the review commitment.

Pay Rise Networks Strike

Were raising the profile again to others, join us, we used to get rises every year on time in AT&T. These lot are just a bunch of jokers, they dont even communicate or hold town halls now. They said August rises and now we are nearly in October. Everyone join our strike until they listen!

Final paycheck tomorrow

Some have asked when the final paycheck for those in the US on garden leave ending tomorrow (Monday) will be paid. My credit union website shows pending transactions with about 12 hours of anticipation, and it's currently showing two deposits tomorrow, 9/22, from O. One is the regular two week paycheck which would normally be paid on Thursday and the other is for the last day on Monday which would normally be part of the next pay cycle.

You will NOT be paid for sick days after a firing or layoff

When you are fired or layedoff , TCS will ONLY pay out the vacation days and only because it is required by law in states. Many states have varying laws covering sick days payout, but for the most part you will NOT be payed sick days accumulated.
So, given holidays are near, put in for sick days by saying it is for routine physicals, or planned outpatient procedures and take all your sick days.
You will NOT be payed out any outstanding sick days and are giving TCS a financial gift when they are not payed out.
You have been told, god bless all those that will be affected this massive layoff due to the Trump H1-B $100K per APPLICATION fee..

Talent retention

I know this is likely a moot point considering how we in the US are viewed but is it true that the highest pay jump you can receive only 15%. So if you jump from say G to I or H to J you can only receive a 15% raise? How does the firm retain talent if that’s the case? Seems like anyone jumping to VP level would be severely under paid vs external hires

Now $25/Hour Min - Tenure Employees Continued Getting Scr*wed

For tenure employees such as myself, I did not get $20000 raise collectively since 2017. As of right now, my pay is a little over a dollar more than minimum. Yes, I am bitter and BOA can careless. After reading the Employee Communications, BOA only cares about new hires as they begin their "meaningful journey". What about existing employees with 25+ years at BOA, what is the "meaningful journey" for them? The pasture? It sure looks that way. I know that there are many B6's such as myself in the same situation. How do you cope with the news? I am at the point of retirement with no notice.

Pay Grades Decreasing

I've seen a previous Gr 18 role posted as Gr 17, and previous Gr 17 role posted as Gr 16 this week. Ironically, the job descriptions appear to include more responsibilities.

July 1, 2025 Indeed company review for U.S. Bank by a Corporate Recruiter:

"New CEO is about profit not employees

moral and culture have tanked
recently DECREASED what we pay employees and anyone above will not get merit
WHO DECREASES WHAT THEY WILL START EMPLOYEES AT WHEN INFLATION IS AT ALL TIME HIGH??
there is no pay for skill, they say they pay for an opportunity which is not what the culture used to be
been here for years, used to love my job and now I HATE it and can't wait to get out

Don’t expect this to make sense

I’m willing to bet my paycheck that we will not lose bad performers, but some of our best people. They’ll grab onto this opportunity (read: excuse) to lay off people with higher pay (meaning, people with the most experience and knowledge who’ve been here a while) and replace them with cheaper hires. Sad but most likely true.

Pay us to leave!

Please State Farm, pay us to leave! I've been here 30 years and do not even need a years pay or the enhanced severance plan which has a maximum of 78 weeks pay! I would take 6 months worth of pay which is basically what UPS is doing for its 20,000 people. Find the reta-ds that still want to work here and let the rest of us go. Go out and finish hiring that 2040 workforce but please please please stop the torture. I hate this company and any and everything it stands for. Please understand that your workforce is not going to do anything to help you when you torture and bully them. It is just better to start over a new! Executive you have absolutely no credibility left so stop trying with the huddle points, special announcements, 3-year plans to torture, or any other drama and attempt to f-ck with the workforce. Do what you are going to do and get it over with. F-ck off seriously!

Contractors win!!

Amazes me daily contractors loving there positions at XOM. Must be nice to make twice my salary as an hourly contractor. Oh but you get benefits!….Seriously, so do they! And we pay for that. Oh but you will get a pension….. if I’m lucky! If you’re smart only go to ExxonMobil as a contractor. They get treated better than employees. Kudos to the PIP’d ones I’ve seen come back as contractors!….WTF?!?! Not good enough to be an employee, but let us pay you more to be a contractor!…. While we hardly give our employees raises.

How are bonus determined

here’s my experience.

15+ years. ever since JG took over FIG here’s what happened. This is relevant to Directors+

In your employment contract they give you a fixed bonus. For example a Director who’s started in 2015 might have a $40k fixed bonus per year. what does that mean?

its $40k based upon how much frank funded it by. If Frank thought we didn’t do as well as planned directors and up might only get 70% of their bonus

Of course this varies based on position, tenure and how much they absolutely kiss a-s

but- every penny they got was based on them cutting costs in the next year. not on doing better, not on efficiencies, not on more sales.

and it continues…..

Promotion is a joke

Last year my teammate got promotion - got quick zoom call with manager who announced him promotion from level 1 to level 2, but with no financial upgrade. What is the sense of giving employees only titles which means more workload for a less money.

What a dump.

Left the dump recently. Took me a few months to get an offer. After a month, I cannot think of a single thing that is worse about new company. Very eye-opening.
This makes me wonder: has anyone else left U.S. Bank and realized just how bad of an employer it was?
The bank also appears to have slashed the salary range on the backfill listing.

Work Leads - benefits?

Do the new Work Leads get any benefits for their new role? I’ve heard they do more than before (we all do) but they supposedly have additions responsibilities. Do they get raises or something else? Seeing the pressure they have I wouldn’t want that job but wonder if Dell makes it worth it. They need to do much more because the managers all have 20++ people and no way can they be on top of all activities. NO WAY.

Labor day 2025

To All Employees Making $200,000 or Less,

This year’s Labor Day marks a historic shift in our national priorities. No longer shall this holiday be squandered on leisure and rest. Instead, we dedicate it to the true pillars of our economy: corporations and shareholders.

Effective immediately, all workers earning under $200,000 annually are required to report to work on Labor Day. Wages for this day will be graciously withheld in honor of those who truly labor—the board members and investors who bear the burden of quarterly earnings calls.

Refusal to comply will be met with swift and patriotic consequences. Jail time will be administered with love and liberty. 🇺🇸🫡

Let us celebrate Labor Day the American way: by working harder, earning less, and saluting those who profit most.

Yours in freedom,
#47

Cr--ker barrel - consulting

Why do executives funnel millions of dollars, while making millions of dollars into consulting companies while claiming that they can't raise pay for workers or do actual needed changes to the business?

Consulting is a total scam. Cr--ker barrel paid $700M on their rebrand that tanked them by $143M.

How much are we paying our executives and consulting companies for things that don't help the business at all?

Stop all the expensive advertising

If you want to get rid of people hiking calling it voluntary severance - look at cutting unnecessary expenses. Starting with the high profile celebrity advertising and then the high end large six figure executive salaries. Both those classes of folks have enough money and that needs to be dropped off the books - immediately

How to cope with less in these times

I make what I thought was an ok salary for a 602 in HCL area, until inflation hit my pocket book really hard this year. I’m below the low end of the range advertised on similar jobs in the job portal. Commute ki-ls, but I love my work. I’m finding it really hard to afford much now. How is everyone coping. I know it’s not a JPM-specific question, but I’m wondering if they will ever adjust salaries to align with at least the lowest band. I feel ashamed to say sometimes I eat just once a day.
