New leaders do not know their own org structures

With the SVP changes today, both in the business & finance…. I can’t help but to ask myself, how are they deciding who is being let go? These shifts imply that the new leaders do not know their org structure…. Who is good/ who isn’t etc.

All we can do now is, not let our nerves get the best of us. Today just proves that layoffs will be 1. financial 2. Strategic and not personal and reflective of your abilities.

I hope everyone can get some rest after today and realize there is nothing that you can do it. Out of our hands so should be out of our minds.

Chris McCarthy Moving to 101 Studios/NBCU

Chris McCarthy being “let go” as co-CEO back in August was probably the first sensible decision Paramount’s made in years. The man’s entire career has been one long masterclass in failing upward. Now he’s probably slinking over to 101 Studios or NBCU to “collaborate” with Taylor Sheridan, who’s already planning his big exit from Paramount in 2028. It’s the perfect Hollywood farce. One guy can’t keep a job without wrecking it, the other’s counting down the days till he can cash out and ride off on a horse named Ego. You decide which is which. Chris somehow walks away with a multi-million dollar payout for achieving absolutely nothing, proving once again that in this town, being useless isn’t a flaw,it’s a business model. That's right, Amy, Liza, Laurel, Nina, and co.

VPs and SVP on LinkedIn already announcing new roles elsewhere?

There are a few Target VPs already posting on LinkedIn that they have new roles at other companies. They knew before us. Not only that, they knew like 60 days ago because they are already working at the new company. Probably got professional placement assistance. That's disgusting.
If you are at a lower level and are just being informed today, now you know how much Target values you.

More Shuffling in the C-Suite

Sona Chowla exiting, Chris Corley as well, more conglomeration at the top with people leading combined departments. Tariff pressure coming down the pike and probably foreseeing a dip in stock price so those pay packages aren’t as appealing. But don’t people want to work with an award winning CEO voted on by her Chicago peers?
