Is a PIP a formal written piece of documentation separate from let's say mid-year feedback? Of if the mid-year feedback is "Off-track" then that is your PIP?

I am hearing more layoffs coming in ECIO after recent architects layoffs in Sep/Oct. Budget cuts ...employees cuts.. but no cuts to Millions $ salaries and bonuses.

I'm not sure if it's the job market of if I'm not hirable. Either way, it su-ks.
