From the NLRB about "Social media"

"Whether or not you are represented by a union, federal law gives you the right to join together with coworkers to improve your lives at work - including joining together in cyberspace, such as on Facebook….

Using social media can be a form of protected concerted activity. You have the right to address work-related issues and share information about pay, benefits, and working conditions with coworkers on Facebook, YouTube, and other social media. But just individually griping about some aspect of work is not "concerted activity": what you say must have some relation to group action, or seek to initiate, induce, or prepare for group action, or bring a group complaint to the attention of management. Such activity is not protected if you say things about your employer that are egregiously offensive or knowingly and deliberately false, or if you publicly disparage your employer's products or services without relating your complaints to any labor controversy."

Friendly Reminder to Everyone Here

If you don't have any experience with pseudo anonymous forums online, just know that it's incredibly easy for literally one person to pose as multiple people to steer the narrative in any direction.

There are no IDs tied to individual posters or IP addresses here, so you don't even need to use different devices or a vpn to completely spam this forum.

People can and do pretend to be other people all the time, not just to troll but to try and warp reality to their perspective. Just something to keep in mind when you read posts here.

Is it the right way?

An walmart director posted like this in LinkedIn. Charging our culture.

If you know anyone impacted by the recent Amazon layoffs, my team at Walmart in Bentonville is hiring software engineers.

I’m an ex-Amazonian (AWS) and made the move a few years ago. We’re working on large-scale problems—platforms, AI, cloud architecture, and modernization efforts.

Questions? Reach out to our recruiter DM me directly.

Pinterest lays off 15 percent of employees

On Tuesday, the image-sharing social media platform Pinterest announced it plans to lay off around 15% of its workforce. The company made the announcement in a Form 8-K filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Spread the word

Don’t let this chatter die out on these anonymous threads.
Post about it on social media.
Tell your friends.
Go on Reddit.

They despise bad press.

After all they quickly hid the fact that they removed DE&I. What a scramble and cluster that was? They don't want backlash and have been plotting strategically to hide their agenda.

Moments that matter are a complete joke.

LOL @ linkedin posts

Hilarious that everyone that’s been laid off by t mobile, the very first thing they do is make a big post thanking T mobile lmao. The fakest sh-t I ever seen in my life. Just be real for a moment and post that way you actually feel. This is why Linkedin is so trash is because of how fake everyone is on there.

Linkedin, Glassdoor and Loop posts doesn't seem organic

Very fishy especially the linkedin posts from India about their annual/quarterly awards, posts about completing 6 months, 1 year, 1.5 years in TU. Seems extremely forced and artificial.

I know there was a HR level meeting when the glassdoor points dropped to 3.6 after the recent layoffs. I also heard that offer letter rejection rate is quite high recently. So, I guess the recent linkedin posts and glassdoor reviews are a damage control?

Linkedin

I have noticed individuals who accepted the VSP last year now asserting that they chose to leave rather than being laid off on LinkedIn. VSP acceptance and being laid off as functionally the same, as both indicate the company was not invested in retaining those roles. Trying to reframe VSP acceptance a year later as a superior decision does not change the core reality that those positions were considered replaceable. Such a coward move to stay quiet for a year then come out talking about lay offs when it’s easy. Cowards!

I have seen posts on here mentioning that specific Senior Directors are updating their LinkedIn profiles to "open to work," but the authors are refusing to name these individuals. DONT BE A COWARD. If you have firsthand, verifiable information about specific SDs, please include their names when posting.

Another farewell post

Kinda tired of these LinkedIn posts bragging about ‘X years with the brand.’ Just be honest - you did solid but pretty average work most of the time, they gave you a generous severance package, which will never be repeated - and you took the deal. No need to turn it into a hero story.

Log into LinkedIn and decide which of these apply to your colleagues.
The drum beaters are growing by the day.

A field guide for the modern professional jungle. Bring your coffee and your sense of irony.

The Drum Beater
“Achievement unlocked: updated my email signature.”
Celebrates everything — from finishing a webinar to surviving Monday. If self-promotion were cardio, this one would be marathon-ready.

The “Humbled” Achiever
“So humbled to announce that I’m basically amazing.”
Masters the ancient art of bragging while pretending not to. Their posts start with false modesty and end with 1,200 likes.

The Thought Leader
“Innovation is just passion wearing a tie.”
Part philosopher, part buzzword generator. Communicates exclusively in abstract nouns — synergy, authenticity, disruption — as if they’re paid by the syllable.

The Motivational Evangelist
“I spilled coffee on myself — and learned a valuable lesson about leadership.”
Turns every life event into an inspirational parable. A broken laptop? A metaphor for resilience. A delayed flight? Proof that patience is a skill set.

The Corporate Citizen
“Proud to be part of a company that’s making the world slightly better — at least in our press release.”
Their posts are indistinguishable from the HR department’s. They clap for every culture initiative like it’s the Super Bowl halftime show.

The Sycophant
“Brilliant insight, boss! (Please notice me.)”
The algorithm’s most loyal servant. Likes, comments, and reposts with the precision of a political campaign. Never misses a chance to congratulate management for “inspiring leadership.”

The Silent Lurker
“Just here for the sociology experiment.”
Never posts. Never likes. Knows everyone’s promotion history and engagement stats by heart. The digital equivalent of the person at a party who stands by the snack table quietly judging everyone.

@USAA is getting trashed on x.com for hiring so many H1Bs

Go to x.com and search for @usaa and click "Latest" at the top and have a look, lots to look at, at least 3 whistle blowers have come forward providing information about whats going on at USAA to the public.
It looks like Navy Federal is doing the same thing...
Its been revealed that USAA has 11.5 Indian H1b workers for every FTE.
So a 1:11.5 ratio FTE to H1B ratio

Snakes come to Defense

Another linkedin post where the poster and the former employee is sharing his opinion based on what he has experienced and have someone others go through with fake PIPs. And guess what the two XOM lifers and kool-aid drinkers do? Defend DW and mgmt. committee. One drinker defends PIPs by saying those all who got PIP deserved it and even before Covid. Another snake, brown noser, and kool-aid drinker defends Dareen, MC. Both of these DWs peons are calling the poster sour grapes. Especially when neither these two have been on the other side and neither experienced what it feels like being on the other side. These two id--ts also know how exactly XOM people who were laid off in 2020. They were treated with all but dignity and respect. There's a whole WhatsApp group of these people and if you hear their individual stories on how they were treated and lack of support, it is horrendous. But these two snakes dont want to know nor acknowledge any of these but rather act and defend their soul owner DW and MC. Such a pity souls. The unfortunate really and state at XOM? These two snakes lifted their heads to protect their masters and there are many more like them. Look around your desks and start identifying these snakes who will strike and bite you in during your vulnerable time. Shame on you guys. Those of your friends who know how Xom operates has now seen your true colors.

LinkedIn Removal of Reposts about Medicare Advantage on the Downturn

So, I have been daily reposting an analyst’s article on Medicare Advantage struggling. The article listed all the main MA companies, including Humana.

I also had added a not how folks could switch to Original Medicare during this upcoming open enrollment.

Well, guess what?! I just checked and Ll of my reposts of that article in LinkedIn, including today’s repost, has been removed from my profile.

Guess deep pockets Humana must have paid off gutless (no scruples) LinkedIn.

This of course is mere speculation and cannot be proven by myself.

Public Policy Ireland Celebration!

Wasn’t it great to see the person that represents Verizon to Congress to help offshore jobs, go to Ireland where those American jobs were moved to and celebrate it on LinkedIn? Leadership personified! Exhilarating and exciting indeed. Can’t wait to see what lives and communities they offshore next!
