Does oracle have to provide a federal or California WARN filling for the large layoffs?

I just confirmed my RSU is vesting on August 3rd. Worst case scenario, if I’m laid off on August 1st, am I completely out that money? I’ve read that it depends on the company. Has anyone had any experience with this?

Usually H-1B positions are claimed that there is no one in US for the position to be filled. if 3 persons in a team and one with h1B should be the first one to go ? compared to the Citizens ?

With the pending layoff the HW org's number has finally come up. No more Sun boat anchor after next month. Remaining employees will sleep better once that chain is cut once and for all.

Hiring people for a short time just to lay them off. Is there any logic in that? It's ruthless.
