Layoff waves leading for a worse Recession?

https://www.linkedin.com/news/story/new-wave-of-layoffs-fueling-anxiety-4830593/

Usually, recession starts with small talks of layoff's and gets into full swing of cleaning projects to Organizations and sometime the whole Company.
With the mounting pressure of economic instability, Oracle layoff is sure to happen.
It's up to an individual on how he prepares his Resume, how he takes interview and how he stabilizes in new company.
Oracle and laid-back Directors/VP's has made us lazy with less Salary and laid-back projects. Very few has come out working with latest technologies and adjusting to external world.
Take this time for a self-reflection and prepare for your best shot.

Is laying off typical of Oracle during Q1 or is it just preparation for the doomed global economy! I’ve been here 8 months. My experience has been mostly positive, but this is most unsettling especially to a newbie.

Do yourself a favor and starting looking for another job right away! With a looming recession we will likely see very soon a big slowdown in IT hiring up thru the end of this calendar year. A lot of IT job reqs could ver well get frozen by companies by early Fall.

When Oracle pulls the big layoff trigger, very likely on or just after end of Q1, you don't want to be part of the huge number of rif'd Oracle-ites all competing for many of the same posted jobs. So start looking NOW.
