These days, layoffs are always an option. Everybody good enough to find something better is leaving because nobody wants to work in a place with zero job security. It's safe to say that, at this point, Oracle has transitioned from being a company where you could build your career to an insecure job most are looking to leave.

We are just leaving a time when layoffs were not a problem, but that door has closed! Attrition removed the worry for a brief period of time. Now we open a new door behind which lies a lot of unknowns!
