Zety's new analysis tracked U.S. tech company layoffs. The study covered job cuts between 2023 and 2025. Many companies conducted multiple rounds of layoffs. 27% of companies had two or more layoff events. Most repeat layoffs occurred within 12 months of the first.

A dozen staffers are getting booted from the social video team in Manchester. Last year it was London, this year Manchester. I wonder who's next.

Is 3/19 still the next big round? Any insights on which parts of Optum? Specifically anywhere is Optum Health/Care?

There will ALWAYS be layoffs. It is the Verizon way. It's also the Verizon way to pretend they don't happen, and do them under the table. The big one on 11/20 was too big to ignore, and got national media coverage. But going forward, I suspect the layoffs will be more "traditional", where specific groups or programs are targeted to be shutdown, as opposed to another "20% across the board" type of action. The Frontier integration will no doubt result in "redundancies" being identified. Other areas that have been mentioned are parts of Enterprise, specifically overseas, so I'd expect some cuts there as well.

The ever moving second Tuesday of the month timeline to get rid of associates?

Back in 2024, we survived the axe which happened on second Tuesday of March.

Water cooler chat is also buzzing with Friday the 13th March horror.

As always brokerage and wealth seem to be the ones impacted most.

What groups are up now? Seems they went easy this year with layoffs so far but, I'm guessing the axe will fall when maverick rolls out - and fails.

Everyone get ready, it's supposed to be a big one, I heard it from my LL6 who's husband works in Finance.

Does anyone know if more layoffs are actually being planned, or is this just rumor mill stuff again?

It feels like we are all just waiting for the next announcement, and the silence is not exactly reassuring.
