You should never have managers in charge who cannot tell leadership the truth. You have managers waiting to get a Greencard who are afraid are of losing sponsorsship.....Fiserv needs to reevaluate this. The Truth shows itself through stock value and client complaints. Why should client have to complain to the CEO to get help.

Dealing with a boss who lies
I learned something the hard way today
In a meeting someone stated something factually incorrect. Not an opinion, a fact. I gently pointed out the error with evidence and you would have thought I insulted their mother. The room went freezing cold, and later I was told I need to work on my social skills. What they meant was, don't correct people. Don't point out problems. Don't be right if being right makes someone uncomfortable. So basically, even if I'm right, even if the error will cost us, I should keep my mouth shut. lesson learned. From now on all I'll do is smile, nod, and let the sh-t hit the fan later on.
Western Gateway?
Repeated extensions of the open season for Western Gateway is concerning despite the company’s narrative. Why is honesty so hard for this company to embrace? Reverse psychology 101; “due to high demand and interest”. Really? One would think those two things solve the capacity problem. It’s a little embarrassing.

We had an internal survey and a lot of us were honest about everything, including management. A few weeks later, several of us were laid off. Funny how that worked out.
Staying far too long
After decades in the workforce, I thought I’d seen it all, until my time at Citi. I stayed way longer than I should’ve, missing the signs while the culture kept getting worse. The amount of spin and dishonesty up the chain was unreal. Looking back, leaving sooner would’ve saved a lot of damage.

I just read a post on LinkedIn from a female CEO praising Cisco HR “leader” for sharing how the shutdown is designed to let workers connect with their families by not having to work. What a crock. Anyone who knows anything about how things work at Cisco knows it’s cost savings. A few days of payroll savings is worth millions. And the reason for the timing is so they can control personnel who would likely be asking for the same days off anyway. Furthermore, if mental health is a concern, why have people work on Christmas Eve? And how do you explain the July shutdown in 2024. Honesty is a wonderful thing; even when it’s not convenient

I was laid off Monday — in a 30-second phone call.
What doesn’t make sense is watching people with multiple ethics violations in a year keep their jobs. I guess being close with HR has its perks.
It’s frustrating when the people meant to protect confidentiality don’t, and when accountability seems optional. Those of us who try to do the right thing end up paying the price.
It’s disappointing, but my integrity is something no one can take from me. I’ll be okay — and I’ll always choose honesty over politics.

This whole process was never going to be easy, but it could’ve been so much better if leadership had been upfront from the start. Instead, we’re left to guess and speculate because no one at the top wants to say anything concrete. A little honesty and communication would make a world of difference right now.

When did leaders start acting like politicians?
I might not have liked all of Dan’s message but at least it was spoken plainly and honestly. What is really annoying and a little disturbing is that a lot of our leaders now seem to operate like politicians. They ignore anything negative or challenging and only look to talk about the positives. This is totally insulting to employees intelligence and emphasises the gulf between senior leaders with what is happening on the front line
Question Re State Farm Closing Agencies Under "New" Agent Agreement
My boss does not tell me the truth all the time. This is the current story, please help me untangle it. My current boss is a State Farm agency owner. He signed the newer State Farm Agent Agreement years ago and has his own agency. He has a friend who also signed the newer State Farm Agent Agreement years ago and has a local State Farm agency. The "Friend Owner" wants to retire without giving up his agency. I am being transferred to "Friend Owner" who will teach me to be the office manager. I also have my P&C, Health and Life licenses. "Friend Owner" stopped selling and just writes policies if they walk in the door. I know that State Farm has production goals that need to be met. I also know that State Farm has the right to close agencies that are not selling or have absentee owners. My current boss said that State Farm does not close agencies and doesn't have the right to close agencies. I believe that he is not being honest. Does State Farm actually close underperforming agencies? Is there any proof that they do?
