Jokes On Us

A Director in my BU told his team that the Connect Week 60% in-office rule is no longer a thing. BUT they’re still watching everyone closely. This coupled with reorg changes, xtrac workflow sc--wups and “motivate by fear” tactics has so many people... — read more

How are you faring with your job search?

I’m a long-term employee, but the increasing frequency of layoffs has made me start scouting the market now and then. Not because I want to change jobs, but because I want to stay informed about what’s out there. I haven’t seen the market this... — read more

VBO, Webinar About Retirement

Fidelity has webinar about retirement on March 20. This went out to all associates that are eligible. Does this mean no VBO?

Managers are a joke

My manager is always hiding during the dynamic weeks and people on my team have started coming to me for help. It’s extremely annoying to shoulder this burden for my inexperienced manager. My manager is the only one constantly MIA most of the day... — read more

Get this off my chesst

Long timer Fido here. Wanted the VBO. Deserve it. I've done it all and quite frankly I'm valuable and dare I say indispensable. VBO not happening because kiddos Fidelity hires these days can't be counted on in the clutch. They don't even show up... — read more

March Layoffs

In the office this week but haven’t heard anything yet in SMT. What groups were impacted so far? Do folks feel that more layoff notices will go out throughout March? As if the work environment couldn’t get any worse…

If the last two posts are true…

Just when I was thinking this site had unreliable information, there are posts confirming speculation. I am much more prepared since it was posted online months ago and I had a heads up.

Fidelity is no longer a stable company

A lot of people come work at fidelity because it’s regarded as safe and stable, you can expect to work for years without fear of layoffs. This has changed over the past few years as fidelity conducts layoffs almost every year now. I will be jumping... — read more

How large will the layoffs be?

With reports that notifications started being sent out today, some rumors suggest that the layoffs will be significant. This makes sense, given all the restructuring taking place. If you have any reliable information, please share.

Cloud Migration

How’s the migration of legacy apps to the Cloud coming along? Are they still hiring AWS Cloud Engineers? Asking for a friend.

V B O Possibility

How do I know, I've heard the following phrases from those who probably know. "The Workforce Alignment Matrix has been recalibrated." "We’re rolling out a Legacy Transition Opportunity Window." "The Resource Optimization Dashboard is live." "The... — read more

TrackIT

Dear fidelity leadership. Do you actually think trackit will tell you how much time is actually spent on a body of work? This is just asking for people to copy paste x number of hours into the same thing everyday/week and it’s just a waste of time... — read more

Name 5 things you did last week

I mean that bar is set pretty low. Even for government workers. I already took 2017 VBO and come back here time to time to see what’s happening at the big green machine. In my career, we’ve had to do things similar to justify our jobs. Public sector... — read more

Sick of being sick

I’m so over going into the office and going home sick every week. I’m starting to really have very negative feelings towards my coworkers who are causing me to be sick every WFH week.

Is this quoted comment truthful?

I just read a comment under a post that says: "You should send that email up the chain. You think they’d want to avoid getting sued. Maybe throw in examples if people dying in storms like the girl up north who was coming home from Fidelity and a... — read more

Nagging

Other than nagging, there aren’t consequence for anything. Company culture suffered because no one has to act like a professional. I wish management did something other than put names on a made up list.

New RTO Policy

What is it? Seems like there was a change in January. I'm considering Fidelity as an employer.

How about helping solve the problems outlined on this site? Why does your team have so much time to just sit and downvote posts? Sounds like a dream job, no responsibility, just worried about likes.

Term Dates
