Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

Fidelity wins

I’m leaving the industry because of my manager. I have discussed this with my spouse and I cannot take the new culture. I went through all the channels listed in the annual hr trainings and haven’t noticed a positive difference with my manager. I’m a top performer in my department and keep my head down, I’m a low level employee so my mental health is more important.

I feel you. I loved my low/level job for years but moved to another role due to increasing incompetence being hired in and not being compensated fairly. Had the choice of a couple of positions and needed a change. The change has been utterly horrible. Now I understand why some people think middle managers do nothing. I feel like I’ve stepped into kindergarten and am treated poorly on purpose.

Sad the company has lost its way...it use to be a great place to work, learn and grow. Abby is clueless so the loss of culture is more likely the ineptness of HR. Mr Johnson would surely be disappointed.

E performer 75% of 15 years I spent at the company. I left in April and my life is so much better. I have three friends leave recently and two of them had more time than me. Oh well, not complaining as it’s a private company and Abby makes the decisions. It just makes me sad with the recent influx of so many anti-semites and radicals the company has hired. If you’re on the fence know there are great companies out there who would appreciate you.

E performer for years here. Had enough. My toxic department became toxic. Abby does not care. DEI for the win.

Sanity and reduced stress are more important than any job at Fidelity.
