Topics regarding layoffs at Truist Bank

Truist is the Bud Light of banking

Management sounding so smart while they talk to themselves in front of you. it sounds so good it has to be right. Until it isn’t. We are in the ‘Isn’t’ part now. At least the dividend is safe. I guess the $1.6-$1.9B in cost saves isn’t... — read more

Purpose Driven Bank

Nailed it if your Purpose is to lose 50% of your market cap and run off customers

Which areas are the most toxic here?

There is no doubt that the bank in general is deteriorating very quickly. I'm really interested in what you would say, which areas are the most toxic? It's a shame, because it drives the remaining good employees to the competition, while the... — read more

"Bold changes"

So Bill says there are some "bold changes" coming! Can we start with having him step down and insert someone that knows how to rescue our failing bank?

Audit is Toxic

There is a toxic smog across Audit and it's only getting worse. My manger is miserable, I am miserable and everyone I talk to is miserable but no one feels they can speak up. If they have not posted out already, they spend evenings desperately... — read more

So what’s the real reason

Kelly and BBT board granted Suntrust the leadership of new bank? Not just at the executive level but throughout middle and upper management except the community bank which they don’t appear to care for anyway. Anybody really know?

Nobody regrets leaving Truist

My advice is to get away as fast as you can. Things are only going to get worse for us. The people I know who quit have no regrets over it. They are enjoying their new jobs and not looking back. There's no reason for any of us to stay a day longer at... — read more

RTO and 30 Miles of Office

Has anyone been communicated that only people who live within 30 Miles of a Truist Office location are expected to RTO even if offer letter said remote? So basically, if you are outside of 30 miles and your offer letter says remote then you can still... — read more

Fed Stress Test

More about how well the bank is run: The banks that had the lowest capital ratios under these tests were the midsize banks, such as M& T Bank and Citizens Bank, and super regionals, or banks with a national presence and over $500 billion in assets... — read more

Pride @Truist

Ge-z that conference call…. Here’s something I wish we took pride in - Trying to get the stock price up.

Truist stock down 30% year to date : )

I worked at Truist in Columbia, SC. Worst experience of my life. Terrible leadership, ALWAYS short staffed, and unobtainable goals. To those that are hesitant to leave, do it! You deserve happiness and there is so much opportunity out there!! Let... — read more

Leadership mantra

How can leadership be doing a great job IF their principal mantra is- Lack of any respect towards employees Cheating employees, misleading them, and HR blind to ugly going’s on all this while employees are made to overwork to pick up... — read more

We have your best interest at heart!

The company sent Channel 9 the following statement: “As we return to a normal, post-pandemic working environment, we believe we do our best work when we have the ability to collaborate in-person. In alignment with our purpose to inspire and build... — read more

It is very obvious that they want me to quit

Isn't it very obvious that they are pressuring us to leave without severance pay? I definitely intend to leave, but only when I find a better option because I won't miss my severance pay no matter how much pressure they put on me.

At least there'll be fewer layoffs for a while

I'm not taking pleasure in other people's misery, but at least those who decide to leave due to RTO will help those of us who decide to remain. I believe that if the attrition is large enough, there will be no need for layoffs for some time to come... — read more

RTO is RIF in sheep’s clothing. Change my mind.

RTO just as summer kicks off in conjunction with school. Different LOBs doing different things. This is merely a RIF disguised as Better together. How many will dip out because of this? I am strongly considering it. Anyone else?

Still the same?

I left this sweatshop when the MOE was announced. Do they still expect you to treat ELT like they are infallible gods? I hated that cr-p. And no, it's not like that at other places.

EL Thanks

I think the EL is doing a great job navigating uncharted waters. It’s not easy but they are stepping up and leading us to success. I know many feel otherwise, but I truly believe we are positioned to achieve purposeful results. If we can live One... — read more

If you stay, your purpose is to be miserable.

Title says it all. You can either complain and be miserable or get the heck out of that sinking ship. I did and it’s glorious. I no longer have night sweats and dreams of Bill cutting me open and feasting on my vital organs. It’s like I... — read more

Overwhelmed like never before

This is insane. Is there anyone here who isn't overwhelmed? The most depressing thing is that the manager does not even realize that the goals are unrealistic.

Going to competitors

I would be paid a little better, but despite everything, it would be very difficult for me to go to work for competitors after the years spent working here. I would like to hear experiences of those who, after many years of loyalty to this... — read more

The biggest reason to leave?

They don't like happy employees

It is my impression that the leadership does not really want happy employees… Otherwise, why make life difficult for good employees in every way? Without any hope that things will get better here, I wonder what they will do next to make this... — read more

BBT plus Suntrust = Truist

In January 2019 BBT market cap was 37.26 billion. Combine the two banks and the market cap today is 38.52 billion. Where did all those synergies of size go? When are Bill and the boys going to be held accountable? To late for Kelly the King, he has... — read more
