Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Think there will be any money left for AIP in March? You know, for those of us who have actually worked our a$$es off?

Uh yea. It’s a bad situation for everyone, including those who don’t get laid off but still are losing money due to lack of incentive or merit combined with cost of living. That person is allowed to be concerned.

AIP was part of the severance agreement paperwork if our goals were met. Since I am no longer there and wouldn't know (but based on the the 1st half of year) I would say there will be none for me since we were down on every metric. At this point if a direct deposit showed up in March in my bank account and I would be surprised if its $100 bucks.

Remember they like to take AIP from every eligible teammate and give it to their friends at the highest levels. Happens every year. Last year I was told they took 1-2% from every teammate. Unethical at best.

And this person continues to work for Truist.

Rumor is they will make it harder to get full incentive, if at all. Pretty clear leadership is making Truist a terrible place to work so others will leave without having to pay severance

How do you down vote someone telling you to be aware of the audience? Must be bill or kk In the room trying to figure who's critiquing them and why they know so much

AIP (Annual Incentive Plan) is designated for job grades 110 and above. It starts at 15% and is paid out in March.

Absolutely not. The executive team needs their raises for hard work laying off folks and 35% decrease YTD in stock performance.

LOL! I got no raise in 2023 despite being the top performer on my team for the 3rd year in a row. More production than 3 of my teammates combined.

Also, what is AIP? XD

Even if a person is laid off post March 31 they are still eligible for a prorated AIP if their manager allows it.

Does anyone think or know if people who are getting laid off will get their prorated bonus for this year in March?

I highly doubt it but it is part our compensation. So, it is not only about the employees who make it past the RIF.

I would guess so. Don’t lose sight of the fact there’s still going to be tens of thousands of employees that I presume they want to keep working. Despite what disgruntled (rightfully so!) people say the company isn’t going to fail.

I think it’s a valid question. A sick org impacts us all. They’ll likely still offer at a suppressed level or make it much harder to obtain - but it’ll still be there. They’re incentivizing you to work harder for a nominal increase so they can see 10x profitability.

People will be losing their jobs and you are worried about your AIP. There are many teammates that work their butts off and got no raises in 2023. Please be aware of the audience. This is what is wrong with leadership. They are worried about themselves.
