Kelly King's legacy is destroyed

I met a traveller from an antique land,
Who said—“Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. . . . Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed;
And on the pedestal, these words appear:
My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings;
Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.”

Kelly was a BS artist who may have actually believed what he was serving up. And despite how ridiculous his stories were, he at least put on a front that we wanted to engage with teammates (voicemails, etc) Mr Rogers on the other hand doesn’t even pretend. Although, it’s at least fun for teammates to try and count the number of times he says “purpose”. would be a fun drinking game

John Allison was a complete brainiac and got BB&T to where it was. Kelly just lucked up and was along for the ride.

John Alison said he wanted to merge with SunTrust for years but the cultures didn’t align… he wasn’t wrong.

He said he’s all about communities. I guess the exceptions are Winston Salem, Wilson, Lumberton and Whiteville. The bank has been a significant employer in those towns for decades, and the post-merger abandonment of them is slowly occurring. Not so slow in the case of Winston

If y’all will just live by my words you will find your purpose:
THE POWER OF ONE

Years ago during a time when I was facing a lot of negatives and trying to figure it all out and fix it I focused on this concept and it’s even more powerful now. It’s about taking life one day at a time, focusing intensely on each person in our lives one at a time and helping others one smile at time.

Hey kelly does bill send you straight to voicemail these days. You will be remembered for your last act. No one will remember all of the shareholder money you gave away to pet projects. You will be remembered as the bumbling stooge who destroyed lives and communities. Now the mo--ns wh run his family office will never let him see this and are complicit in the shame.

Kelly says:
So my advice is to embrace change, focus on your purpose and Help Others. Plant seeds of Hope(Smile).Remember, your life matters. God bless you.

"If Kelly King is Shelley's Ozymandias, Bill Rogers is the Watchmen Ozymandias"

I don't even know you but you are now my new best friend. And yes, very true; just without the IQ.
