Are any departments enforcing the Joe Thompson four days in the office “mandate”? Or is it just my group which is being led by the pick me girls?

Any big announcements on the call tomorrow?
We are in the office eight hours a day five days a week.
We had bed bugs in our office. Now everything’s coated in pesticides.
Joe Thompson is a microcosm of why Truist is where it is today. A “leader” who believes employees are faceless zeros, not worthy of even the slightest level of respect or honesty. The thinking that puts a person so incredibly dislikable in charge of a line of business where customer service is crucial, is simply unfathomable. If Joe was even remotely competent maybe you could somewhat understand, but that is not the case. His disdain of his own employees is 100% the reason some really good employees have left Wealth. I have not spoken to one Wealth employee who can stand the guy.
We are in the office eight hours a day five days a week. Shocker.
Our department is 3 days a week and we only have to stay for 5 hours. These departments all have different rules so you are correct, you’re with the “pick me” crew.
Those rich people want to see you in the open office, suffering. It makes them feel more special.
The arrogance of the management in this LOB is quite amazing. People with investment banking backgrounds trying to run real banking functions is a recipe for disaster as we’ve seen for the last coif years. Customer bases that aren’t big time are dismissed. Even clients with 50 million plus are treated with disdain.
While Joe ignored the mandate to move to NC enacted 4 years ago. Cameras on for conference calls (while he’s in his basement). While Joe enforces email reviews on managers which take mind-numbing hours, despite Hbbt having software in place to perform this oversight. Joe loves a rule, so long as it doesn’t apply to him.
Truist is antiquated banking
RTO is antiquated thinking
