Layoffs galore.

This board always follow the same pattern: anxiety before the event, urgency during notifications, this is followed by anger, disappointment, uncertainty. Sometimes there is some relief afterwards.

Cannot change the beast. Oracle will Oracle, there will be layoffs again.

Count our blessings, enjoy your work if you can, if you cannot try to find something else. I've had it and I am looking around - this round sealed it for me.

Everyone is so on edge lately and it’s honestly becoming exhausting to be around. Every little thing turns into a complaint or a conversation about how bad things are, how they can’t get their work done, how they don’t have what they need, how leadership is doing this or that

And I get it. People are worried. There’s a lot of uncertainty and nobody really knows what’s coming next. But at the same time, we still have jobs to do. It’s getting to the point where people are complaining about not being able to do their jobs while also spending half their time complaining about everything going on.

You can literally feel the anxiety in every meeting. Someone mentions a change or sends an email and suddenly everyone is trying to figure out what it something means

I’m not saying people shouldn’t be concerned, because obviously there are legitimate reasons to be but the constant doom and complaining is getting really old. It’s making an already stressful situation even more miserable

16-sep is supposed to be the day when it all goes down. are you looking forward to it for dreading it? however you feel about it, may the odds be ever in your favour

If layoffs are coming, just tell people and let them make their plans. This endless uncertainty is worse than knowing where you stand.

How many are still expected to be laid off? Is there a number? Any indication that we might be nearing the end?

Considering all the other cr-p they've been throwing at us.

How do you stop thinking about the fact that your job could disappear tomorrow? I know I can't control it, but that doesn't make the worry any easier.

What’s the latest word? I’m so sick of everything being pushed off and no decisions or progress because seems like everyone all the way up the chain just waiting for the other shoe to drop. Meanwhile teams of people getting paid to sit home and do bare minimum while the company is falling apart.

This being our last week makes everything feel a little more real. What makes it even harder is that there really doesn’t seem to be a transition or exit plan. No one has spoken to me about who will be taking over the work I’ve been responsible for, and from what I can see, even the people who are staying haven’t been given much direction on what happens next or who will be responsible for what. After 15 years, I guess I just expected the ending to feel a little different.

To the OGs of Centene — thank you for the 15 years. This place was so much more than just a job to me. For so many years, it felt like family. I grew here, learned here, made memories here, and gave a huge part of my life to this company.

To those who are staying — please be careful and keep looking outside the company, too. From everything we’ve been seeing, more and more roles and responsibilities are being moved toward outsourcing, and I think it’s important to keep your options open. Maybe that’s also why we’ve seen so many leaders taking their PTO lately. Who knows.

I don’t know where my path will lead from here, and truthfully, that uncertainty is scary. But I’m grateful for everything this company taught me and for all the people who were part of the journey.

It’s genuinely sad to watch something that once felt so strong and meaningful slowly sink to the bottom of the ocean. I never imagined I’d be watching it happen from the inside.

I may have passed my PIP but I doubt it.

Education was a measurement and I still have a few Stand and Delivers to submit.
Met with manager at 2week interval and never again. We began focusing on the other PIP objectives ie, ensuring good customer interaction, presentations, etc.

I actually helped move project from POC to deployment as I am an AI FDE

Currently onboarded at customer and manager makes statements like “OP will continue to help get this to prod” “OP is getting contractor term extended for this deployment”.

I feel the uncertainty creeping on me and I just don’t know what to expect.
I’ve been PIP’d before and passed. That one was a 45-day PIP that I completed in 30-days. 90-days was a bit different.

What should I really expect come Tuesday?
What are some things I should do before then?

So apparently the August layoffs are completely canceled again.

At this point, does anyone actually know what’s going on at Oracle?

For weeks we’ve been hearing about another major round of cuts coming in August, managers supposedly making lists, double-digit reductions on some teams, 6 a.m. emails, cuts before September 1, etc. People have basically been sitting around waiting to find out whether they still have a job.

And now… nothing? Canceled again?

The constant back-and-forth is getting ridiculous. One week everyone is convinced a huge RIF is imminent, then the date moves, then rumors start again, and now supposedly August is off entirely.

Has anyone heard anything credible internally about what changed? Are the layoffs actually canceled, just postponed into September, or is nobody—including management—really sure what the plan is anymore?

Would especially like to hear from Oracle employees/managers who have gotten an actual update rather than another round of Blind rumors.

Seems like no one has any official word on what restructure will look like, how many can expect to be cut, when it may be announced vs when it will take effect. Any word from the “rumor mill?” Seems to be all we have. I’m a CC in a heavy Humana state.

Could someone from management please let us know what the plans are for the three GSCs? At this point, we don't care anymore lol, we just want some clarity on whether layoffs are coming and, if so, when so we can prepare accordingly.

Is it happening on 25th or are these again baseless rumours like 18th.
Although got to know from HR that it will happen in phases and the first batch of layoff will definitely be in August.

Heard the update on GCC. A lot of questions were asked by attendees of which some were selected for response. The answers were non-answers which was not surprising. People can handle uncertainty and difficult truths much better when they are presented plainly and honestly. I just wish our leaders understood that.

Does anyone know the real truth about stch site? How long will this site stay open? I’m a shell contractor and I have a family and I need this job but I hear that it’s going to stay open for a few more years . I don’t know if anyone is telling me the truth. Any help would be appreciated
