The attrition tsunami is about to hit
Ppl on this blog are wondering why there are not so much recent layoffs at Oracle... There is a good reason, In fact, expect the opposite to happen: a hiring spree. Not because Oracle needs more people, but to fill in the spots that are now, and are... — read more
There's no one out here
Usually the views go up when layoffs are coming. So, seems no rumors circulating. No layoffs coming up. Did enough people really leave this last year that no layoffs were needed? What are the estimates of how many people left? How many... — read more
Throwing in the towel: Cerner proves Oracle is now a SaaS company - OCI is an underfunded ruse
OCI is woefully underfunded, and their nearest competitors, Google and Microsoft, outspend Oracle 11 to 1 on infrastructure. (Look at capex in the earnings reports.) They need to spend $28 bil on data centers and network capabilities to be... — read more
Oracle doesn't deserve people with ideas
I don't know if it's a coincidence or not, but when I look at all the colleagues who got cut and those who left because of the enormous pressure (which Oracle often uses to get rid of unwanted people), I come to a conclusion that this company loves... — read more

Never count on a bonus!
The last two quarters have provided ample evidence of that. The dreamers set the goals so high you have no chance, but they are willing to pay you $5,000 to bring a friend into this mess. All I can say is ‘make him pay’ for it.
New hire training…after Oracle.
I spent 10+ years at oracle. I had zero formal training besides those God awful compliance cartoons. I’m at a new company now. On my 2nd and 3rd days of my first week of my company I had more formal training (real in job training) than I did in 10+... — read more

Last post…2021 was my last year @ Oracle
2021 was my last year at Oracle. All I can say. I had a nice laugh with a current employee about how much of a joke our old manager is. These are my top 10 observations. Since I’m no longer an employee, I will come back on occasion for laughs. Good... — read more
