When you are at the bottom of the pack any improvement is normally in double digits. Its not really hot when you look at the figures.

A lot of the growth is from Oracle moving its hosted applications to OCI then showing what they are charging the applications internally as new revenues. Technically, they are correct from an accounting standpoint but it doesn't reflect the slow growth for external customers.

I knew this was fluffy, purchased advertising, as well as total BS. O doesn’t break out their cloud numbers.

Paid for or not, It's dishonest journalism at worst, incompetence at best, none of it any good. Possibly truthful on its face, but skewed in reality. A Shamefully desperate attempt to show 0 is relevant and productive in the cloud game.

Unless all people get a raise, otherwise all those news are fake and useless. Why you want to work for a company claim they been getting better and making profits each quarter, and they keep all that to themselves and layoffs employees.

I have never heard of this site until now. Nice piece, full of unsubstantiated opinions and carefully parsed statements. Let's see, If you are making $10 and then you make $14, you have 40% growth. Meanwhile your nearest competitor is making $100,000 and then makes $120,000, that's 20% growth. The next one makes $1,000,000 and then makes $1,100,000 that's 10% growth.

So yes, you can make the claim you are the fastest growing entity, even if you are still the runt of the litter.

Until we see the actual numbers, none of this means diddley. Numbers relative to themselves are worthless.
