Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

EMEA “Client Engagement All Hands Call” Today

FXL & SM today in the EMEA “Client Engagement All Hands Call”
First Quote; "best time ever to be at oracle in applications". Hilarious if not so said while many people’s jobs are on the line.

The two Muppets continued talking about (yes about what). Had nothing to do with what is on our minds right now. Instead, they talked about Redwood, demo systems, next gen storytelling and other nonsense. Said, very said.

These 3 products are dead whatever they will say. No more real innovation and limited roadmap. Customers can relatively easy replace them in contrast to the approx 300 customers in emea stuck with Siebel. These are not desirable roles. Net new business will not happen, limited up-sell possibilities as most customers are overloaded and forget cross-sell (the potential cross-sell products) are in other organizations). So your job will be renewals for which you are not compensated. Partners (which have been neglected over the years) are not interested in dead products. In the mean-time asr’s and se’s run to the competition with spreadsheet containing every single customer renewal data and ARR value. Goodluck

Don't know if the process is legal or not; the genuine ask is if you would want to work under an airhead like AMM. Done that before, would highly recommend anyone in Oracle to save themselves from such an experience.

“which is going to milk existing Responsys, Eloqua and Rightnow customers.”

It is not the customers that are being sacrificed on the altars of B—l, but we are under the kn--e. Apply to go first.

FXL completely screwed-up and CW is not going to like it. In order to speed up the process he asked people to apply for jobs before the 19th in the new org which is going to milk existing Responsys, Eloqua and Rightnow customers. Asking people to apply before they even know what will happen with their current job and excluding people from some countries to apply is not legal (in some countries). They might have to re-work the whole process.

O God, FXL. His entire organisation is on fire and the only thing he can talk about in an all hands call is a zoom background. It shows his connection with his organisation. The guy is a living example of Oracle culture. No empathy, no interest in the business beyond the numbers, no interest in employees, no interest in customers. He's a survivor, only interested in his own position. Managing up, kicking down. Everything he does, he does to look good in front of CW and SM. He will not defend anyone in his organization, he will throw them under a bus to save his own a-s. If CW wants to address culture; he needs to start at the top. A fish rots from the head down and FXL is far beyond his expiration date.

The Chat function in zoom was disabled at the client engagement call. Just like in Russia they want people to share their opinions. Tomorrow “All Hand Apps Call”. Lets see.

RevOps call was the same. Spent an hour telling us about the new strategy, didn’t mention the one thing everyone wanted to talk about. Got tetchy because people were asking questions anonymously and were very confrontational and unwelcoming to the 600+ on the call. The mood of the meeting was like schoolchildren being told off, except nobody really knows why. These town halls are a waste of time and these so called leaders need to learn to read the room.

Yes but think of the high job satisfaction you felt while listening to it.
