The management is too quick to reduce the number of employees to save money and always forgets that it's those employees who are making the money for the company in the first place. The latest RIF severely affected productivity. It might not be obvious right away, but it will become apparent soon enough. That can't be what's best for the company.

Remember? Never in their dictionary. They don’t even care about their customers (generate income), why they should care about their employees (expense).
“ They have never and will never give a rats a-s about employees. “
And why should they? Employees are a commodity. Easily replaced.
Exactly. Employees are like lightbulbs. A commodity. You burn them up and go out and buy new ones. The cheapest ones that you can find. Just like when you buy anything at Walmart. Never forget this simple fact of working for any modern day employer.
Last commenter is right. It just doesn’t matter. Funny, I knew that but I just woke up.
Sad to say, but it won't matter at the top. Anything that doesn't work after the RIF can just "melt away". LE said it, now he's doing it. It just doesn't matter.

Not to mention it is a small world. Who are you going to hire when the word on the street is don't go there? It is being stated and Oracle outside of hiring inexperienced people will start to see it.
Last poster is wrong. With pay and treatment breeds culture and success. Treating employees like absolute dogshit has run the best ones off and the ones that remain feel absolutely no pride or care one iota about this place.
Eventually that turns a company to mush. Oracle was pretty mushy before having totally sat on their hands for cloud computing.
People? The best resource?
You’re kidding right? People are a commodity and all are replaceable. How many times do you have to see employees, from grunts to VP’s dropped, but the music still goes on!
The only people who are important are the internal shareholders.
The only resource that matters is source code.
