Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

The Elephant in the Room. Why is Safra still at Helm?

Doctoring numbers and has an elite squad or rejects under her.

What gives? Has their been a more ineffective leader in the last decade? Elizabeth Holmes comes to mind but at least she was pushing a product people want.

I used to be naïve enough to think that Sales ran this company. Sales and engineering were in a symbiotic relationship, but sales drove the bus. I don’t believe that anymore, now that I have experienced what it takes to obtain a discount to try to close a deal.

The accountants run the show!

Oracle has too many needless levels, too many VPs.
The wall of VPs that divides upper & middle mgt will soon come crashing down.
Better classification is unemployable.
I think the direction that LE & Safra are headed, is obvious.

mid Mgmt VPs

Wherever I have worked, I have always thought of VPs as "upper management", and directors and senior managers as "middle management".

In the end though, LE and SK make the big decisions.

Middle Mgmt is the core root of the problem. Upper Mgmt refuses to look down to see the lowly mid Mgmt VPs that have taken Oracle down the tubes.
Elimate that entire corrupt worse than worthless squad and establish accountability internal control systems for each org - as required by GAAP - but not followed & hire back the best experienced layoffs. It’s not rocket science.

Yes, she’ll be fine but she’ll have left Oracle in tatters.

And blame it all on the rest of us. Employees, past and present. Whether you were there 1 month or 30 years, YOU are the problem.

Yes, she’ll be fine but she’ll have left Oracle in tatters. Larry probably every bit as accountable sticking with on-premise so long. I suspect he’ll be fine too until the stock plunges and he’s no longer Top 5.

My bad... She is worth 1.5 Billion now. I am sure she is going to lose sleep if she is asked to step down. They are in the club and we ain't as George says....

You think she gives a $h!@? She is near if not a billionaire based on her salary and stock awards since being at Oracle. All it means is she can now retire on her yacht and do whatever she wants fulltime.

Karma always gets you in the end. Safra look around the board room the hatchet man is among you.
