Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

AppsUL - Did you get anything?

If you are from AppsUL and got something please post here. Percent, IC level, etc. Let us know why you think you got something and if you got nothing also post here.

Has anybody considered a strike? Maybe that’s what they actually want and can say, “we have no developers and no support so please join our Oracle Cloud”.

The reality is customers will go to third party support (Rimini Street, Spinnaker, etc) and eventually to AWS, Microsoft or Salesforce.

All I got was more work, stress, and frustration when colleagues left. Oh, and reassurance from management that everything is fine, as well as notification of no pay bump again this year.

Leaders responsible for driving AppsUL off a cliff: MS and MG.
Leader who, when asked about these issues and attrition problems in general on a recent all hands call, deflected the answer, then belittled those working for her with snide, degrading, unprofessional comments in a hot mic session when she thought the zoom had been turned off: MG of course. There is nobody more inept and useless in a leadership role here!

She should and would be fired - for deflecting when asked about issues and attrition
problems - if she were at a highly rated company. Deflecting which seems toi be the norm at O makes mgmt look stupid which, they are. A 3rd grader knows when someone is deflecting. Belittling those working for her with snide, degrading unproffesional oomments, only makes her look bad - which most at O do. Obviously these jerks did not go to business school. Mgmt 101: Employees are only as good as their manager. Winning Coaches believe and encourage those on their team. Oracle can only blame themselves for the downward spiral of this company because of what middle management, especially VPs have done to the work force.

AppsUL area: JDE support
Performance rating: Typically 3-meets expectations year after year. Basically does what is asked, and does it well despite the need to spend a lot of time diverting the neverending bs that keeps rolling down hill. Doesn't do extra work on top of that for no reason. BASICALLY HOLDING UP MY END OF THE BARGAIN.
Bonus: Never.
RSUs: Never.
Raise: Just once - 3% 5 years ago that didn't cover inflation shrinkage.
Value of current compensation relative to value at last raise: Purchasing power down 20%.
Excuse from management: At least you are not in as bad of shape due to inflation as your older/longer working here colleagues are. So be grateful.
Reason to stay and/or continue putting in effort: No???
