Competitors are using LinkedIn posts from laid off folks to spread FUD. Any cost savings are going to go towards managing this mess now. Hopefully tech companies now understand the power of the social media tools they themselves help create in first place.

Do you think that the competition might be mining this board as well? ;-)
Make that a yes! Of course.
Having been part of RightNow then Oracle CX I can say this layoff is way different than any before. Key personnel with years of knowledge were kept in previous layoffs. This layoff whole teams supporting key parts of the product were let go and other teams lost key personnel. Most of the talent left is looking for a new job.
It will be hard for Oracle to maintain the product with the severe loss of knowledge on how it works and why things work as they do. It will take years for some customers to migrate to other solutions due to all the customization they've done & they're looking at limited and dysfunctional support from now on. I would be pi---d if I were a CX customer who just had the rug pulled out from under them.
Oracle is having problems controlling the message?
Too bad. So sad!
