Medtronic Leadership are so out of touch!

I have to say, it just feels really strange when the president of Medtronic Cardiac Surgery sends out an email talking about all the great things happening at the company and welcoming new people, but does not even mention anything about the layoffs... — read more

Medtronic is a joke!

Employees deserve better. Try trimming the fat at the top and making quality products.

We needed layoffs

The only problem is the wrong people are getting laid off again. Most of the real fat seems untouchable.

So sorry for everyone who was laid off

I know many of us haven’t been happy in our roles here, but these are tough times, and the job market is really rough. I hope everyone lands on their feet quickly, and ends up happier in their next job.

Diabetes all clear,now?

Looks like the new structure was just announced which likely means we are done with layoffs for now. Sorry for all those impacted!

The bloodbath has started this week, but there is more to follow! I have inside information that Medtronic will be releasing a press release Friday, with regards to an upcoming Scandal, that's about to break. Medtronic's shares are going to go... — read more

It’s wild how this place treats its employees

They expect total dedication but turn around and cut experienced people first when budgets get tight. The message is clear: loyalty only goes one way. At some point, you realize you’re just another line item to them.

President’s Council

As the company executes its RIF strategy late last week and this week, GM is convening his “president’s council” in Minneapolis. First hand knowledge of members dining at Manny’s in downtown Minneapolis tonight in the private room. For reference, an... — read more

It's rarely a single-day affair

I know people want it to be over, but when have we ever had layoffs that wrapped up in a day? If nothing else, this management has never been capable of doing anything efficiently, including cuts.

Current Layoff information

The following is a summary of comments from posts made this week. I posted 30 minutes ago and it was taken down. I reviewed the rules of the site and don't know why it was removed because ALL of the information is from existing posts still on this... — read more

2025 Bloodbath summary to date....

Appears the original poster's HR Playbook post was relatively accurate. Meeting invites titled "Business Update" with leader and blind copying HR started dropping on Monday. Some are seeing meetings with the same title but the meeting is... — read more

Is any OU safe?

Most rumors indicate layoffs across the board. But one can still hope.

Is anybody else worried about severance?

Maybe getting laid off now would be better since I have a feeling severance will continue shrinking each layoff. I could be paranoid, but it's happened before and chances are it'll happen again. It feels like the longer we hang on, the worse the... — read more

My productivity is zero

If you can concentrate and actually get any work done with layoffs literally hanging over your head, then I envy you, because I can’t. I’m a nervous wreck and all I can think about is what’s coming. Not knowing exactly when it will happen is only... — read more

What time will the blood bath start this week?

Based on a number of VP comments it is pretty clear our group is getting let go. Does anyone know if they will be doing the actually notifications in groups or individually? Is the plan to also do reorganizations at the same time? Will those let... — read more

Good luck next week

Both to those who need the job, and those hoping to be laid off. I’m in the second group, so at least I won’t be spending the weekend stressed for once.

Hoping I get laid off!

Just need the last big push to pull the plug. Company and most other companies are mostly full of shitheads anyway! Good luck everyone!

Is anybody safe?

Is there a way to know which areas will be targeted? Or will this be a company-wide thing?

I'm Sorry they GE'd You

You buy General Electric people, you get General Electric results. GE built a great company and continued innovation in the 1980s. But then GE became management sumo wrestling and positioning. And the "best" of these came to Medtronic. They... — read more

Huge Announcement

Most of HR were on-line last night. There is a rumble in the Jungle that there will be a big announcement this week along with a press release. Cant say much more than that.

Story with CAS mixed reviews

I’ve been hearing mixed reviews about CAS but they seem to have all the jobs. Anyone have some pros/cons? I understand some of the issues with a growing business, I’m more interested in the work environment and if there is any leadership to watch... — read more

Can't decide what to do

I've got an offer to start somewhere new next week, but I'm completely frozen with indecision. Sure, I hate my current job, but at least I understand how this place operates. The thought of being the new person during potential cutbacks terrifies me... — read more

Will RIFs start this week? Last year the RIFs were the first full week of May.

Layoffs in diabetes OU?

I saw a post meeting is scheduled by manager, anyone else received meeting invites from manager/HR?

So many job openings

Why are we posting all these new job openings while ignoring the qualified people we just laid off? It makes zero sense to hire outsiders who’ll need months to get up to speed when we’ve got former employees, some with decades of experience, ready to... — read more

Bets anyone?

Does Martha make it through the year? I think the smart money says no…which probably means he will continue on as CEO through the 2030’s.
